More of the Right of Right Evangelicals Protest another fallen Hero

Writing by on Thursday, 30 of June , 2005 at 10:25 pm

The damn people are so disturbed that I can honestly say, I wish they would die. This is the warped GodHatesFags people. They are "Christian" they run around the country protesting gay pride events, funerals, and now, the services being held for those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Here is the reason why, to them Bush is a leftist bastard, and because this nation is not shooting fags on site we are a nation heading to hell. So they protest funerals of our troops because "God hates America, and this is punishment".

They should read the bible they claim to follow; there is a whole bunch of crap in there about not judging people, loving your neighbor and so on…

There is a special place in hell for these people…

From there website (I choose not to post the URL)

Number of Americans who have entered hell as result of this bloody takeover of Babylon:

1,723

So to my friends in Tampa, please read this, They are coming to a service of a fallen soldier near you…

The Rev. Phelps, pastor of Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas, does not attend the funerals to comfort family members, however.

He is there to express thanks for the soldiers’ deaths.

Phelps and his followers believe that the deaths of American soldiers is God’s retribution for society’s acceptance of gay Americans.

Although Phelps says he’s targeting servicemen and women of all sexual orientations, he’s perhaps best known for showing up with vicious signs at the funerals of AIDS victims, as well as gay victims of a hate crimes.

Phelps and other followers say they’re going to create the same scene at a St. Petersburg Church where a funeral will be held Monday for Sgt. James Stewart, who died last week in Iraq. Stewart spent most of his boyhood in St. Petersburg and his mother still lives there.

Bush’s “Nothing Accomplished” Speech Was a Flop

Writing by on Thursday, 30 of June , 2005 at 6:05 pm

Well it looks like invoking September 11th to whoo the American People into ignoring your failed presidency is just not working anymore. His poll number skip even more.

From Zogby

President Bush's televised address to the nation produced no noticeable bounce in his approval numbers, with his job approval rating slipping a point from a week ago, to 43%, in the latest Zogby International poll. And, in a sign of continuing polarization, more than two-in-five voters (42%) say they would favor impeachment proceedings if it is found the President misled the nation about his reasons for going to war with Iraq.

The Zogby America survey of 905 likely voters, conducted from June 27 through 29, 2005, has a margin of error of +/-3.3 percentage points.

Just one week ago, President Bush's job approval stood at a previous low of 44%-but it has now slipped another point to 43%, despite a speech to the nation intended to build support for the Administration and the ongoing Iraq War effort. The Zogby America survey includes calls made both before and after the President's address, and the results show no discernible "bump" in his job approval, with voter approval of his job performance at 45% in the final day of polling.

Oh my, the only think that will save the GWB Titanic is impeachment.

More True Republicans Speak Up…

Writing by on Wednesday, 29 of June , 2005 at 6:15 pm

Contrary to the tripe you hear from the Republicans, many of those on the left have in fact served in the military. Some have even seen combat.

Well it is often said on the left to the right, "If you are so supportive of the war, you should enlists, I hear they are looking for a few good men", and yet, they are still in a shortage.

So lets here it from a horses mouth… (from The Nation)

By the time I encountered Cory Bray, a towering senior from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, the beer was flowing freely. “The people opposed to the war aren’t putting their asses on the line,” Bray boomed from beside the bar. Then why isn’t he putting his ass on the line? “I’m not putting my ass on the line because I had the opportunity to go to the number-one business school in the country,” he declared, his voice rising in defensive anger, “and I wasn’t going to pass that up.”

And besides, being a College Republican is so much more fun than counterinsurgency warfare. Bray recounted the pride he and his buddies had felt walking through the center of campus last fall waving a giant American flag, wearing cowboy boots and hats with the letters B-U-S-H painted on their bare chests. “We’re the big guys,” he said. “We’re the ones who stand up for what we believe in. The College Democrats just sit around talking about how much they hate Bush. We actually do shit.”

Bush Supporters Protest Fallen Hero’s Funeral

Writing by on Wednesday, 29 of June , 2005 at 10:38 am

I wanted to point out some more Bush supporters at work…

Setting: Funeral of a fallen soldier.
Who: Staff Sgt. Christoper Piper.

A Green Beret served in both Iraq and Afghanistan, he was awarded a bronze star for his combat service. He was killed in Afghanistan.

Now here is where I do not understand these Whack jobs…

From Huffington Post

… a right-wing Protestant Christian church group from Topeka, Kansas [the Phelps people] is planning to demonstrate at Piper’s funeral services at the Old North Church. They claim U.S. soldiers like Piper are dying because the country is being punished for its tolerance of what they see as immoral behavior, such as homosexuality.

So these sickos are protesting the Funeral of a fallen hero, because god hates fags? Did I miss something. Keep in mind people, this is the people that Bush works for, Every single one of these whacks voted Bush, and he loves them…

Read the signs people …
“Thank God for IED’s” (Roadside bombs)
“God Hates America”
“Fag Soldiers in Hell”
“God Blewup the Troops”
“Fags Doom Nations”

Why are people of this breed able to get the ear of Bush. They should be tired for treason. All of them should be on a terror watch list….

Bush to the Vets, “I Still Hate You”, Repubs Late to the Game, Again

Writing by on Wednesday, 29 of June , 2005 at 8:57 am

Readers know I am a huge advocate for veteran's rights, because I am one. I am also a huge advocate to the healthcare needs of our disabled vets, because I am one. For some time I have been saying that the Bush Administration loathes the vets, and could care less about them. He has cut Healthcare, training, decreased their benefits while raising the price on the ones we keep, all in all a hardy F U to those that served out nation in the past…

Well from the Washington Post…

The Bush administration disclosed yesterday that it had vastly underestimated the number of service personnel returning from Iraq and Afghanistan seeking medical treatment from the Department of Veterans Affairs, and warned that the health care programs will be short at least $2.6 billion next year unless Congress approves additional funds.

Veterans Affairs budget documents projected that 23,553 veterans would return this year from Iraq and Afghanistan and seek medical treatment. However, Veterans Affairs Secretary Jim Nicholson told a Senate committee that the number has been revised upward to 103,000 for the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30. He said the original estimates were based on outdated assumptions from 2002.

-snip-

Senate Republicans, embarrassed and angered over the revelations, yesterday announced plans to pass emergency legislation this morning to add $1.5 billion to the fiscal 2005 appropriation. The move is designed to appease angry veterans groups and preempt a Democratic proposal calling for $1.42 billion in increased VA spending.

I want to point out who did care about the vets….

March 15th 2005, Sen Patty Murray (D) - Amendment on FY 2005 Supplemental Appropriations–VA Health Care Funding
Rejected
Press Release
Disabled American Vets Comments

March 10, 2005 Sen Bill Nelson (D) - Amendment. No. 2745; Budget Appropriations, FY2005
Rejected

There are more, but as you see the Dems have been looking out for the vets long before

Go to http://www.KnowTheFacts.net for the record….

Republican’s a day late, and dollars short.

More news on Hillsborough Co (Tampa) Hate Law.

Writing by on Wednesday, 29 of June , 2005 at 8:28 am

A call to arms, I urge anyone who lives, or PLANS TO VISIT the greater Tampa Florida area to please sign this online petition, here is the link.

The one that has pushed for a very anti-gay law is this right-wing whacko, Ronda Storms. Tampa for the most part is a fairly progressive city, it has had anti-discrimination laws on the books for a while now, and the Mayor has voiced opposition to this law.

What is the law, well it basically says that the county "abstain from acknowledging, promoting and participating " on any pride events, the issue is how this heartless gal has pushed it. County Commissioner Ronda Storms has pulled pamphlets about Gay Youth and made county libraries. Her comment, "In my opinion, it engages Hillsborough County in very high-risk behavior, not to mention encouraging children to engage in very high-risk behavior"…

Please get the word out, if you plan to visit (hint hint) to the Greater Tampa area, you should speak up.

Bush Team Faked the Applause.

Writing by on Tuesday, 28 of June , 2005 at 10:41 pm

If you watched the speech, it was oddly quiet, I mean you could have heard an Airman fart, it was that quiet. There was one point towards the end when there was some applause, and guess what, it was faked (Like everything else in the Bush Administration)

From Americablog, who was watching ABC

ABC’s Terry Moran just reported that the only time Bush got applause was in the middle of his speech when a White House advance team member started clapping all on their own in order to cajole the soldiers into clapping, which they dutifully did.

Here is the count…

  • References to "September 11″: 5
  • References to "freedom": 21
  • References to "Saddam Hussein": 2
  • References to "Osama Bin Laden": 2
  • References to "a mistake": 1 (setting a timetable for withdrawal)
  • References to "mission": 11

What is more odd is the words that were missing, some that we almost heard everyday.

I am not kidding this was a total, “Please love me again America” speech. He offered nothing you have not heard 50 times. If I were NBC, ABC, and FOX, I would charge him for the time he wasted.

Your Tax Dollars at Work, and Republicans Still Hate the Troops

Writing by on Tuesday, 28 of June , 2005 at 7:39 pm

It is called War Profiteering, It is discussting, and Bush is not only allowing it to happen, but encouraging it. I guess Bush is getting all the money taken away from his family a long time a go, Prescott Bush.

Testimony of several whistleblowers to Congress.

Rory Mayberry
Food Manager for KBR at Camp Anaconda in Iraq

Found that KBR was overcharging the Army for food. Philipino workers were given garbage bags of food left over by the soldiers, but KBR charged the [US] Army for fresh food anyways. Additionally they charged the Army for food they supposedly fed the soldiers, while not actually providing the meals. They simply falsified the numbers on their reports. KBR also paid their subcontractor PWC too much for the food itself. Tomatoes locally cost $5 per box, but PWC cost $15 per box, primarily because they transported food from Philadelphia. He was told to go into convoy trucks blown up by insurgents, remove the shrapnel and bullets from any food that survived the attack, and ship it to other bases. They would then charge the Army AGAIN for that food. They also were instructed to erve outdated food to the soldiers. Managers like him were told to hide from inspectors who came on base, and were told not to talk to them if confronted. If found talking to inspectors, these contractors would be intentionally sent to dangerous locations such as Fallujah.

I want you to please get one of the more discussting part of this, that shows the total disrespect for our soldiers by this Asministration…

They also were instructed to erve outdated food to the soldiers.

That is right, nothing is to good for our men, and nothing is what they are going to get. This is sick…

Bush Approval at lowest point in history

Writing by on Tuesday, 28 of June , 2005 at 9:25 am

It has been happening for some time, but it looks like the lipstick is finally worn off the pig, and Americans are seeing the truth, Bush could care less about you, your family your loved one, or your children in uniform. His only care is for the corporations and uber-rich. Halliburton is being investigated for war profiteering, and while we are running record deficits the GOP continues to lavish rich corporations with huge tax cuts. Well his poll numbers are showing the wakeup in the populous.

According to the CNN/USA Today/Gallop poll, under the banner “Disapproval of Bush at high point” you find "highest disapproval rating recorded in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll since Bush became president in January 2001."

Here are some tid bits

The approval percentage — 45 percent — matches a low point set in late March. The 8-point gap between those who disapproved and approved was the largest recorded during Bush’s tenure.

As Bush prepares to address the nation Tuesday to defend his Iraq policy, just 40 percent of those responding to the poll said they approved of his handling of the war; 58 percent said they disapproved.

But the poll also found that issues other than the Iraq war may be dragging down Bush’s numbers.

Respondents expressed even stronger disapproval of his handling of the economy, energy policy, health care and Social Security.

The lone bright spot for the president in the poll was his handling of terrorism, which scored a 55 percent approval rating, compared to just 41 percent who disapproved.

The president’s worst numbers in the latest poll came on the issue of Social Security, with respondents disapproving of his performance by a margin of more than 2-to-1 — 64 percent to 31 percent.

More GOP on GOP Name Calling, Is it over for them?

Writing by on Monday, 27 of June , 2005 at 5:38 pm

I wrote just yesterday how the GOP is starting to eat itself, well it has continued. The following was said at the Collage Republican Conference, or Cowardly Republican Conference as I like to call it, anyway

Speaking to the same group a few hours later, party strategist Grover Norquist lambasted three Republicans who broke party ranks over the issue of judicial filibusters. He referred to them as “the two girls from Maine and the nut-job from Arizona” - Sens. Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe and John McCain.

So here you have a right wing republican strategist turn on his own…. Hey more power to ya, I am sure that John McCain is 10 times the man you are.

No 10 Commandments in Gov Buildings.

Writing by on Monday, 27 of June , 2005 at 11:04 am

Oh I am sure that the un-Christian Christians are up in arms at the Supreme Court today. In a 5-4 ruling, they said you could not display the "10 Commandments" INSIDE courthouses and government buildings…

We await a ruling from a Texas case that has a huge monument on the ground of the state house.

Update: SC okays 10 Commandments on the grounds of the state house in Texas…

Bush using the Military as Backdrop to hide failures as a president

Writing by on Monday, 27 of June , 2005 at 10:55 am

I am not sure exactly the words I am looking for, but I think there is something fundamentally pathetic how this administration uses the military as tool of propaganda. Tomorrow, Mr. Bush is going to address the nation, an attempt to convince us that he has a plan. While anyone with class would have addressed us in the oval office, the Map Room, or even the Rose Garden, having a face to face, heart to heart with the American people. Not Bush, he is going to use the military as a backdrop, an attempt to use the war, and the warrior to prop up his failures as a president. I am sure that every soldier in the audience is hand selected to make sure that he gets the “Hooo Ahhhs” he wants.

I, as a veteran, find this whole thing deplorable at best. Contrary to the talking point, this president has done very little to help the military, and even less to help those that have served in the past. He has sent our boys over there without the tools they need to win, he has set them up for failure. Years into this effort, we still have soldiers that lack the basics of warfare. There is no excuse for this.

Allow me to show why there is no excuse, WW2, the US was able to manufacture…

  • 297,000 planes
  • 86,000 tanks
  • 6,500 naval vessels
  • 64,500 landing craft
  • 5,400 cargo ships
  • 315,000 artillery pieces
  • 4,200,000 tons of artillery shells
  • 17,000,000 rifles

So, why can’t we get some body armor, and some humvees?

He will not give then the type of hazard pay they should be getting; I am only assume that this would cut into the Halliburton budget. A soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan (Iraqastain) gets $7 a day in hazard pay.

This Commander in Chief will use the service men and women as a backdrop, but has failed to attend one funeral for one of the fallen. Al Franken has visited Walter Reed more often than Bush has.

Bush has advocated cuts to Veteran re-education programs, Healthcare, prosthetics research, nursing homes, and more. Shame on you Mr. Bush, shame on you for using the military to pay Halliburton, shame on you for using them to prop up your failed Administration.

Dick turns on Fellow Republicans, and of cource, lies.

Writing by on Sunday, 26 of June , 2005 at 10:13 pm

So now Bush-Cheney are going after fellow Republicans who may be starting to see through the lies of the Administration. Dick lashed out and slanders Senator Chuck Hagel because Hagel has started asking questions about the quagmire on Iraq. Here is what Dick said…

Since 9/11, we’ve had people like Chuck Hagel and other politicians and we’ve had people in the press corps and commentators who’ve said we can’t do Afghanistan.

Chuck has never ever said anything about Afghanistan, he is very much sceptical of the Iraq mess, this is part of the Administration’s effort to attempt to trick you into thinking they are one in the same. As a friend of my calls it Iraqistan..

So because Hagel is questioning the Administration, he is now going to get the patented "Bush discrediting super cycle". The issue is that the once they start doing this to fellow Republicans then the wall will crumble. Hagel's roots go far deeper than Bush-Cheney could ever have, he has been in for a long time…

Sit back boys and girls, it is starting to get fun, as this wall of lies starts coming down.
