Bush vehemently supports terrorism, mainly because they have paid him to. You may not know this, but over 8 billion in United Arab Emirate cash was sent to the Carlyle Group, a company that has George Bush Sr. as a major stake holder. What was the 8 Billion for? Who knows, the Carlyle Group does not have to show us their books.
In what I can also guess is a major shift in US Foreign policy, this nation no longer supports Israel. This is the only thing I can guess, because the company that Bush wants to turn over our ports to is a participant in an Arab campaign to boycott Israel. a position that runs counter to US Policy .
So, lets lay it out right here and now. We have a company that wants to run 21 US Ports, they are a government owned corporation. That government is currently harboring members of Al Qaeda, was one of the main sources of funding for the 9/11 attacks, and many "issues" point that they are currently funding terror. Let us not forget that the main conduit for the transfer of nuclear secrets from Pakistan to Iran and North Korea (Think axis of evil) was done through the nation of the United Arab Emirate. So we know they will transfer nuclear secrets, why not ship a box-load of terrorist here?
Fact: Bush has placed money over National Security, Americans, Our Troops and the victims of September 11th. Thanks Bush, at lease we know where you stand now.

Looks like fire ants and cancer has a higher approval rating than Bush. In a newly released CBS Poll, headline reads…
Poll: Bush Ratings At All-Time Low
So what is his approval rating you may ask?
The latest CBS News poll finds President Bush’s approval rating has fallen to an all-time low of 34 percent, while pessimism about the Iraq war has risen to a new high.
Americans are also overwhelmingly opposed to the Bush-backed deal giving a Dubai-owned company operational control over six major U.S. ports. Seven in 10 Americans, including 58 percent of Republicans, say they’re opposed to the agreement.
CBS News senior White House correspondent Jim Axelrod reports that now it turns out the Coast Guard had concerns about the ports deal, a disclosure that is no doubt troubling to a president who assured Americans there was no security risk from the deal.
ThinkProgress has a great breakdown of the numbers.
The American public has a dismal assessment of Bush’s policies across the board:
– 30 percent approve of Bush’s handling of the war in Iraq — an all-time low.
– 27 percent approve of Bush’s energy policy.
– 32 percent approve of Bush’s handling of the economy.
– 5 percent of Americans are pleased with the way the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast is going.
Today, White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said, “Our focus is on the important priorities of the American people.” Looks like the American people disagree.

Safer of the Republicans my ass, Bush wants to sell our ports to those that helped to fund 9/11 come hell or high water. The Coast Guard said it had issues with the deal, security issues, Bush’s response, “We have a Coast Guard?”
Republicans can not keep you safe, the war on terror is over, and the terrorist won as long as Bush is in charge.
From the AP
Republican congressional leaders had hoped to curtail bipartisan outcries over a United Arab Emirates-based company’s pending takeover of some U.S. port operations by brokering an agreement for a new investigation of the deal’s potential security risks.
Then came the disclosure that the U.S. Coast Guard had raised concerns weeks ago that, because of U.S. intelligence gaps, it could not determine whether the UAE company, DP World, might support terrorist operations.

I take some comfort in knowing that Tom Delay is getting killed in his re-election campaign down in Texas. He is corrupt to the bone, he is a sick man, and he should be in jail. How sick is he… From the Washington Post
The Internal Revenue Service recently audited the books of a Texas nonprofit group that was critical of campaign spending by former House majority leader Tom DeLay (R-Tex.) after receiving a request for the audit from one of DeLay’s political allies in the House.
The lawmaker, House Ways and Means Committee member Sam Johnson (R-Tex.), was in turn responding to a complaint about the group, Texans for Public Justice, from Barnaby W. Zall, a Washington lawyer close to DeLay and his fundraising apparatus, according to IRS documents.
Johnson, a member of the subcommittee responsible for oversight of the tax agency, sparked the IRS’s interest by telling IRS Commissioner Mark W. Everson in a letter dated Aug. 3, 2004, that he had "uncovered some disturbing information" and received complaints of possible tax violations.
Johnson said he was sure the IRS would follow up. "I ask you to report back your findings of each of these investigations directly to me," he told Everson in the letter, according to a copy obtained by The Washington Post.

Nationwide abstinence-only Jesus pushing program has had it’s government funding gone, right now Leader of program wonders how he is going to make his next Rolls Royce payment.
Now a study shows that these types of programs do not work, in fact the Miami Herald reported, "found that more than 80 percent of virginity pledgers did not keep their promise." So I guess this was money well spent.
From PlanetOut
A nationwide abstinence-only program lost federal funding Wednesday after a lawsuit accusing the program of using the money for Christian evangelization was settled between the ACLU and the Department of Health and Human Services.
The settlement means the Silver Ring Thing, which doles out silver rings to remind young people of their promise to abstain from sex, will not be eligible for federal money unless it changes its program to ensure the money isn’t used for religious purposes.
The organization has received more than $1 million in federal funding during the past three years, the Associated Press reported.
The American Civil Liberties Union filed suit against the program in U.S. District Court in Boston in May.
In August, the Department of Health and Human Services suspended funding for the program, saying, "The federal project that is funded . . . includes both secular and religious components that are not adequately separated."

In Bush’s second term he has shredded the 4th Amendment of the Constitution, has acted as a traitor to the United States by allowing an undercover CIA Agent’s identity being uncovered, he has okayed and in fact approved the selling of the ports of the United States to a nation that has known ties to terror, his little “War on Terror” is a disaster and we are losing our men and women in Iraq in huge numbers, all in all Bush, and the corrupt Republican he is in charge of, is a total failure.
A majority of Americans are more likely to vote for a candidate in November’s congressional elections who opposes President Bush, and 58 percent consider his second term a failure so far, according to a poll released Thursday.
From CNN
Fewer people consider Bush to be honest and trustworthy now than did a year ago, and 53 percent said they believe his administration deliberately misled the public about Iraq’s purported weapons program before the U.S. invasion in 2003, the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll found.
Pollsters interviewed 1,006 American adults Friday through Sunday. Most questions in the survey had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points. (Poll)
Bush is preparing for his State of the Union address, set for next week, and told reporters Thursday that he is "looking forward" to campaigning for Republicans in November’s elections. (Full story)
But the latest poll indicated Americans remain in a pessimistic mood.
Fifty-eight percent of those polled said Bush’s second term has been a failure so far, while 38 percent said they consider it a success. A smaller number — 52 percent — consider his entire presidency a failure to date, with 46 percent calling it successful. (Complete poll results)

Bill Frist is the leader of the Coward Republicans….
From the TIMES
Moving toward a deal that could allow President Bush and congressional GOP leaders to save face and avert a prolonged confrontation, GOP officials said today that they were discussing the idea of having Dubai Ports World seek a new review of its acquisition of a British company’s operation that runs several key U.S. ports.
House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King, confirmed in a phone interview early Saturday afternoon to TIME that officials were close to a deal involving the Congressional leadership, the White House and the Dubai company. The agreement would call for a 45-day “CFIUS-plus investigation,” King said, referring to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, a Treasury Department-run interagency panel that probes proposed acquisitions in the U.S.
Although the Dubai deal had already been approved by CFIUS, "the rationale for reopening it is, once DP carved out the American ports from the rest of the contract it changed the nature of the agreement so it had to be reviewed again," says King, who had been among the leading GOP voices opposing the deal as first approved without the extra 45-day review process or briefing of Congress. King says will await final details before formally backing any such deal. King added "if we are going to hold back on legislation, I think there has to be continuous congressional review throughout the new CFIUS review.”
Keep in mind, only 17% of the Americans people think this is a good idea, so go ahead Republicans, the Democrats would love to use this issue this fall. Here is what we will say, "Republicans want you to think that they are the "War on Terror", why did thy cave under the White House and give our ports to those that funded 9/11."

Proposed forest land sale by
From staff reports Source: CITIZEN-TIMES.com
published February 25, 2006 6:00 am Democrat Heath Shuler, who is running for a seat in the U.S. House, called for incumbent U.S. Rep. Charles Taylor to condemn President Bush’s proposal to sell 300,000 acres of U.S. Forest Service land.
Under the president’s proposal some 6,615 acres in the Pisgah and Nantahala national forests in Western North Carolina could be sold to fund a program that distributes money to counties for rural schools.
“While I agree that funding our education system is crucial to our country’s future, selling off our precious public lands to temporarily cover a shortfall in education funding is a short-term solution to a long-term budget problem,” Shuler said in a letter to Taylor.
Taylor, a Republican, said in a statement Friday that the proposal hasn’t been presented to Congress.
“Once legislation is formally presented to Congress, I will meet with county commissioners and the public in every area where there is a proposal to sell U.S. Forest land, to determine what the wishes of the local people are,” Taylor said. “We will take a close look at each piece of property proposed for sale. After meeting with people in the areas that are impacted, I will make a decision.”

Documented evidence number 99,341 that Republicans hate Americans, especially poor Americans (Forget what the bible says about helping the poor).
Republican Representative Joe “Screw the Poor” Barton from my birth state of Texas (shocker) is mad as hell because a private oil company has stepped up and done what this pathetic Republican congress won’t do, and help those that need it buy heating oil. No, I am not making this up.
From the NY Daily News…
You will be surprised to learn that Barton, one of the top recipients in Congress of campaign donations from the energy industry, is not probing whether ExxonMobil or Chevron or any of the other oil giants engaged in price gouging when gasoline and heating oil costs skyrocketed the past few years.
No, the good congressman has set his sights on the only oil company that actually dared to lower its prices last year - at least for the poorest Americans.
In a Feb. 15 letter to Citgo, the Houston-based company owned by the Venezuelan government, Barton demanded that company officials produce by tomorrow all records, minutes, logs, e-mails and even desk calendars related to Citgo’s novel program of supplying discounted heating oil to low-income communities in the United States.
The Citgo program, which kicked off late last year in Massachusetts and the South Bronx, provides oil at discounts as high as 60% off market price.
Since its inception the program has expanded to low-income communities in Delaware, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Maine and Rhode Island. Local politicians, desperate for ways to reduce energy costs for their constituents, have welcomed it with open arms.
Here in New York, Harlem Congressman Charles Rangel will soon announce an expansion of the Citgo program into upper Manhattan.

The only Iraqi battalion capable of fighting without U.S. support has been downgraded to a level requiring them to fight with American troops backing them up, the Pentagon said Friday.
Another total failure on the part of this administration. Thanks Bush for spending all of our money, can you tell me again why?

How sad, I mean really, can one of you right-wing nuts tell me this is what you want in America?
From ThinkProgress
In his State of the Union Address, President promised to pursue “an agenda that will raise standards of living.”
But a study released today by the America’s Second Harvest shows that Bush has fallen short. Nine million Americans sought aid from food pantries and soup kitchens last year, even though they were members of households where at least one person had a job.
A look at why working Americans are struggling to put food on the table:
– After adjusting for inflation, wages have not risen during the last three years. In fact, real hourly wages fell for most middle and low-income workers in 2005.
– An individual who works full-time at the current minimum wage earns about $10,700 a year —$5,390 below the 2005 poverty line for a family of three, and $8,650 below the poverty line for a family of four.
– The inflation-adjusted value of the minimum wage is 29 percent lower today than it was in 1979.
So far, Bush has succeeded only at creating low-wage jobs and long lines at the nation’s soup-kitchens.

So here is the real issue, we have but two options, Bush is a liar, or so dumb and/or drunk that he has no clue what is going on…
Let’s look… This is what Scott McClellan, the White House spokesman, said, “He became aware of it over the last several days,” McClellan said. Asked if Bush did not know about it until it was a done deal, McClellan said, “That’s correct.”
So he wants us to know that Bush, the “President of the United States” did not know that terrorists were in the market for American ports, and that he learned of it from the media? This is where Bush gets info? Am I the only one that is scared? But wait… How do you reconcile that statement with this new news here from the AP…
Arab Co., White House Had Secret Agreement
The Bush administration secretly required a company in the United Arab Emirates to cooperate with future U.S. investigations before approving its takeover of operations at six American ports, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press. It chose not to impose other, routine restrictions.
As part of the $6.8 billion purchase, state-owned Dubai Ports World agreed to reveal records on demand about "foreign operational direction" of its business at U.S. ports, the documents said. Those records broadly include details about the design, maintenance or operation of ports and equipment.
The administration did not require Dubai Ports to keep copies of business records on U.S. soil, where they would be subject to court orders. It also did not require the company to designate an American citizen to accommodate U.S. government requests. Outside legal experts said such obligations are routinely attached to U.S. approvals of foreign sales in other industries.
"They’re not lax but they’re not draconian," said James Lewis, a former U.S. official who worked on such agreements. If officials had predicted the firestorm of criticism over the deal, Lewis said, "they might have made them sound harder."
Bush is working with the Enemy, like grandson, like grandfather. So Scott and Bush are fucking liars, the "War on Terror" is over and we lost, Bush WANTS to sell 6 US ports to a nation that REFUSED to allow the United States to track down terrorist money that lead to it’s shores, is known to have helped in the funding of 9/11, has hosted Osama bin Ladin once or twice and was the motherland of 2 of the hijackers. The War on Terror is over, and Bush sold us out. The next time I hear one of you right-wing shits try to tell me that we are safer under Bush, I am going to punch you in the mouth.

Most of the time I expect nothing from the Bush-bots out there, you know the ones, they would cheer Bush on as he rounded up African-Americans orphans and used them to club baby seals over the head. Well it looks like they are pissed about this whole sell our ports to a known terrorist state thing. Let’s hope they start seeing the truth, that Bush and the Republican Party he leads (as they are today) hate Americans, period.
Michelle Malkin, Fox News contributor, has a great breakdown that follows the money.
The resr of the blogs are almost dead silent about this. Over at the America Hating Free Republic, and this thread as well, and this one, many of the Bushbots are not happy at all about this…

Oh yah, you know nothing in this administration is on the level, and why should this deal be any different.
Did you know that the current Treasury Secretary, John Snow runs the department that signed off of this deal with Dubai Ports World. Did you also know that when he was the chairman of CSX (a railroad shipping company) he sold the port operations of CSX to Dubai Ports World. So the man who heads the group that signed off on this deal was once in business with the buyers… Can you say conflict of interest?
That is not all, David Sanborn, who runs Dubai Ports World’s European and Latin American operations, has been asked by Bush last month to head the U.S. Maritime Administration. Hmmm.
We do not know YET, but I am sure that the Carlyle Group (Bush Sr’s company) and maybe even Halliburton have there claws in this deal somewhere.
