Well it is nice to know that there is some justice left in America. I have a message for Rush, I hope you go to jail, I hope your cell mate is named Bubba, I also hope he gives you some liberal love every night.
From CBS / AP News
Rush Limbaugh and prosecutors in the long-running prescription fraud case against him have reached a deal calling for the only charge against the conservative commentator to be dropped without a guilty plea if he continues treatment, his attorney said Friday.
Limbaugh turned himself in to authorities on a warrant filed Friday charging him with fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions, said Teri Barbera, a spokeswoman for the Palm Beach County Jail. He and his attorney Roy Black left about an hour later, after Limbaugh was photographed and fingerprinted and he posted $3,000 bail, Barbera said.
Prosecutors’ three-year investigation of Limbaugh began after he publicly acknowledged being addicted to pain medication and entered a rehabilitation program. They accused Limbaugh of "doctor shopping," or illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions, after learning that he received about 2,000 painkillers, prescribed by four doctors in six months, at a pharmacy near his Palm Beach mansion.
The Sun-Sentinel also has some good stuff.

I want to send a hardy “Thank you!” to the Moron and Chief George W. Bush for taking a crappy nation that did not have a pot to piss in and converting it to a nation that is now a safe haven for terrorists. That is right, before Bush lied us into war with Iraq, it was little more than a boil on our ass, and now, it is a infected wound that threatens our lives, and will drain our coffers.
From CNN. (bolds are mine, my comments in RED)
The State Department’s annual terrorism report finds that Iraq is becoming a safe haven for terrorists and has attracted a "foreign fighter pipeline" linked to terrorist plots, cells and attacks throughout the world, a senior State Department official involved in the preparation of the report told CNN.
The report, to be released Friday (In the Friday News Dump that will happen after 5pm, in hopes that you do not notice, and by Monday, when you come back to the news), also says terrorist groups loosely associated with al Qaeda present the greatest threat to the United States and the world, even greater than al Qaeda itself.
The official told CNN that, with al Qaeda’s senior leadopes that you do not notice, and by Monday, whership scattered and on the run, autonomous cells inspired by al Qaeda’s extremist ideology present a greater challenge because they are smaller, harder to detect and more difficult to counter.
"These micro-actors are launching more attacks, and they are more local and more lethal," the senior official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the report had not been released, told CNN Thursday in an interview. This official cited last July’s bombings in London by British Muslims with ties to Pakistan as an example of an increase in attacks by local terrorists with foreign ties.
While the official described al Qaeda as "crippled and constrained without the strategic network" it once had, he said there are still indications al Qaeda is planning a spectacular terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
"We have not been able to deliver the knockout punch to al Qaeda, and there is no doubt they are in the planning stages for something big," the official said.
Yah, Thanks George, I feel so much more safe now that you have fucked up this world…

Looks like maybe one Republican has some questions about Bush’s assertion that he can break the 4th Amendment and spy on Americans citizens.
From the AP, via Yahoo News
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Arlen Specter said Thursday he is considering legislation to cut off funding for the Bush administration’s secret domestic wiretapping program until he gets satisfactory answers about it from the White House.
"Institutionally, the presidency is walking all over Congress at the moment," Specter, R-Pa., told the panel. "If we are to maintain our institutional prerogative, that may be the only way we can do it.
Or you could Now Arlen Specter is doing okay, but there is a far better way to deal with this, a way that is more ACTION and less, pussy move to make sure that they still do not hold this administration accountable for the udder distain for the laws that govern our nation, appoint a special council.
If the Republicans were less cowards and more wanting to work for Americans they would appoint a special council, give that person subpoena power and then the we can get down to the brass tacks. Hell, from almost the first day the Republicans took control in 1994 they had a special council riding Clinton’s ass. When it was all said and done they charges Clinton with nada, are they scared that the same may not happen this time?

From Reuters
Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM), the world’s largest publicly traded oil company, on Thursday reported quarterly profit surged, driven by rising oil prices.
Net income in the first quarter was $8.4 billion, or $1.37 a share, compared with $7.86 billion, or $1.22 a share, in the year-earlier period.
Yah for us, now they should have the money they need to build all the CLEAN gas making plants they want… Oh and hey Bush, thanks for allowing Exxon to screw your fellow Americans!

Today the Fake heroes the Republicans show America that they will use homeland security and scream 9/11, but when the rubber hits the road, they could care less about the homeland.
Today, House Homeland Security Committee voted down an amendment by Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) that would have mandated 100 percent scanning of American-bound shipping containers for radiological weapons. Those are weapons like dirty bombs, the Republicans said No! I want to make sure my right wing readers understand, the next time the Republicans say that everyone but them are weak on security, they are blowing smoke up your ass…
ThinkProgess picks it up from here.
The vote followed an “aggressive lobbying campaign” by a “coalition of industry groups” who pressed conservative members to oppose the amendment. Yesterday, committee chairman Peter King (R-NY) announced that he was caving to industry interests. His excuse was that Markey’s plan was “not realistic“:
There’s no sense putting something in the bill if it’s not realistic, if it’s not going to be implemented and can’t be done. We want a real bill, not a headline.
In fact, the plan in realistic: for well over a year, Hong Kong has been successfully using high tech screening machines to inspect every single container. Achieving that in the United States will undoubtedly take time, but it is technologically feasible, and should be our number one port security priority. Businesses that rely on shipping simply don’t want to spend the money, and conservatives are bending to their will at the expense of our homeland security.

I am dumbfounded at the extreme that the right-wing nutbags would go to make sure that the abortion issue stays an issue. You see the FDA is still going round-and-round about what to do about the morning after pill, also known as plan-B and the new excuse that is floating around the FDA, sex-cults!
From Newsday
The FDA is only supposed to consider the safety and efficacy of drugs.
In the memo released by the FDA, Dr. Curtis Rosebraugh, an agency medical officer, wrote: "As an example, she [Woodcock] stated that we could not anticipate, or prevent extreme promiscuous behaviors such as the medication taking on an ‘urban legend’ status that would lead adolescents to form sex-based cults centered around the use of Plan B."
Rosebraugh indicated he found no reason to bar nonprescription sales of Plan B.
Now you may want to know, why the hell would the right-wing so against Plan-B, well it is easy, Plan-B would allow gals to make there own choose, and god knows that the out-of-touch evangelicals can’t have the women running around and thinking for themselves. The other reason they are so anti-Plan-B, it would dramatically decrease the number of abortions, and then what would they have to get voters out.

6 out of every 10 Americans disapprove of the job Moron in Chief George W. Bush is doing, one has no clue, and the remaining 3, these are the udder cowards, they believe that Bush is keeping them safe, for lack of a better word, Sheeple (Sheep People).
From CNN
President Bush’s approval ratings have sunk to a personal low, with only a third of Americans saying they approve of the way he is handling his job, a national poll released Monday said.
In the telephone poll of 1,012 adult Americans carried out Friday through Sunday by Opinion Research Corporation for CNN, 32 percent of respondents said they approve of Bush’s performance, 60 percent said they disapprove and 8 percent said they do not know.
That’s a significant drop from the way Americans perceived the president a year ago. In a CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll carried out April 29-May 1, 2005, Americans were split on their assessments of Bush’s performance, with 48 percent saying they approved and 49 percent saying they disapproved. (Read the complete results document — PDF)
CNN’s poll has a sampling error of plus-or-minus 3 percentage points for most questions.

This is a must read, and to be honest, now that this is so out there, I would hope other states take the time to do the same. God Bless the state of Illinois.
From OpEd News Bolds are Mine
The Illinois General Assembly is about to rock the nation. Members of state legislatures are normally not considered as having the ability to decide issues with a massive impact to the nation as a whole. Representative Karen A. Yarbrough of Illinois’ 7th District is about to shatter that perception forever. Representative Yarbrough stumbled on a little known and never utlitized rule of the US House of Representatives, Section 603 of Jefferson’s Manual of the Rules of the United States House of Representatives, which allows federal impeachment proceedings to be initiated by joint resolution of a state legislature. From there, Illinois House Joint Resolution 125 (hereafter to be referred to as HJR0125) was born.
Detailing five specific charges against President Bush including one that is specified to be a felony, the complete text of HJR0125 is copied below at the end of this article. One of the interesting points is that one of the items, the one specified as a felony, that the NSA was directed by the President to spy on American citizens without warrant, is not in dispute. That fact should prove an interesting dilemma for a Republican controlled US House that clearly is not only loathe to initiate impeachment proceedings, but does not even want to thoroughly investigate any of the five items brought up by the Illinois Assembly as high crimes and/or misdemeanors. Should HJR0125 be passed by the Illinois General Assembly, the US House will be forced by House Rules to take up the issue of impeachment as a privileged bill, meaning it will take precedence over other House business.

Well this is great, while we are bogged down in Iraq, thanks to this failure of a president, Russia has shown it could drop bombs on us, and we would not even know it.
From the SpaceDaily
Russian military planes flew undetected through the U.S. zone of the Arctic Ocean to Canada during recent military exercises, a senior Air Force commander said Saturday. The commander of the country’s long-range strategic bombers, Lieutenant General Igor Khvorov, said the U.S. Air Force is now investigating why its military was unable to detect the Russian bombers.
"They were unable to detect the planes either with radars or visually," he said.
Khorov said that during the military exercises in April, Tu-160 Blackjack bombers and Tu-95 Bears had successfully carried out four missile launches. Bombing exercises were held using Tu-22 Blinders.
By the end of the year, two more Tu-160s will be commissioned for the long-range strategic bomber fleet, Khorov said.
Both new planes will incorporate numerous upgrades from the initial Soviet models, the commander said. The bombers will be able to launch both cruise missiles and aviation bombs, and communicate via satellite.

Well tomorrow, Sunday’s 60 Minuets will tell us all that the CIA warned Bush that there was “reliable information the government of Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction” and when this information was given to the administration, the CIA was told they were “no longer interested”
At what point are we as a nation going to rise up and throw this crop of liars who have now killed 2,386 of our brave men and women, and wounded god know how many. Our President told us that Saddam must comply and that war was the “Final option”, that was a lie, Bush wanted to go to war no matter what.
From Yahoo News
The Central Intelligence Agency warned US President George W. Bush before the Iraq war that it had reliable information the government of Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction, a retired CIA operative disclosed.
But the operative, Tyler Drumheller, said top White House officials simply brushed off the warning, saying they were "no longer interested" in intelligence and that the policy toward Iraq had been already set.
The disclosure, made in an interview with CBS’s "60 Minutes" program due to be broadcast late Sunday, adds to earlier accusations that the Bush administration used intelligence selectively as it built its case for the March 2003 invasion of Iraq and the toppling of Saddam’s regime.
The administration claimed in the run-up to the war that Baghdad had extensive stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons and was working clandestinely to build a nuclear arsenal, therefore, presenting a threat to the world.
Oh, there is so much more, I would go and read this now. It is time to Impeach this fucker before he gets us into war with the world.

Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, of course, a Republican calls a constituent an “asshole” in a letter. Now keep in mind this letter was HAND signed by the congresswomen and had a personal note on it as well, it is not like this was just a computer form letter.
Now we called the congresswoman’s office, and here is what she had to say, “Who the F*ck are you and why the hell are you calling me you piece of sh*t.” I tried to explain who I was, she called me an asshole and told me something about having sexually relations with my dog, I think…
You can see a larger scan of this letter, it is a PDF

Republican Katherine Harris. The Florida Secretary of State that forced the certification of the 2000 election, oh yah, she was also chair of Bush-Cheney 2000, conflict of interest, not in the Republican party.
Anyway, this loon is giving up her seat as a Congressperson and wanting to run for Senate, her campaign is, for lack of a better word, a disaster.
Well Majority Report has this, and I think it is funny, Katherine is putting the loon moves on a poor collage reporter. Man if I were not gay before, staring into that horse-face would make you think about it…

Elliott on the Majority Report last night:
"[Harris] took him by the hand and led him over to the bar and said she wanted to have a ‘nuclear’ conversation with him…and wanted to ‘talk about nuclear technology.’ Then she led him back to the table and sat him down, sat next to him, and her foot was brushing against his foot, her knee was half-an-inch away, she leaned in real close and started calling him ‘honey.’"
The poor young reporter told Elliot:
"I had my face in my notepad a lot, because everytime I looked up she was so close to me."

Man I would not want to have to wake up, turn over to this…

The man that was the mouth piece for this administration for quite some time is leaving. I suspect that give the amount of lies he has told the American people he will need the better part of 10 years to confess, and the next 20 to repent. There is also talk that Rove is also shifting his focus from policy (A job he sucked at I am guessing, because America is falling apart at the moment) and moving back to politics, looking for more ways to scare the shit out of Americans and get them to vote for the Republicans.
From the AP
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove is giving up his policy portfolio and press secretary Scott McClellan is resigning, continuing a shakeup in President Bush’s administration that has already yielded a new chief of staff.
A senior administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the president had not yet made the announcement, said Wednesday that Rove is giving up oversight of policy development to focus more on politics with the approach of the fall midterm elections.
Just over a year ago, Rove was promoted to deputy chief of staff in charge of most White House policy coordination. That new portfolio came on top of his title as senior adviser and role of chief policy aide to Bush.
But now, the job of deputy chief of staff for policy is being given to Joel Kaplan, now the White House’s deputy budget director, said the official.

The pathetic President, and the culpable Republican Congress that has allowed him to literally get away with murder said yesterday that he will not rule out Nuking the shit out of Iran. Yah, now Bush has said is willing to go ahead and wipe out all of us.
From DNA
US President George W Bush has said ‘all options are on the table’ to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, repeating his desire to ‘work diplomatically to get this problem solved.’
President Bush said at the White House on Tuesday that his country would continue to work closely with France, Germany and the United Kingdom, and he intends to raise the issue with the visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday.
“We want to solve this issue diplomatically and we’re working hard to do so,” the President said, adding the best way to achieve the solution requires “a united effort with the countries which recognise the danger of Iran having a nuclear weapon”.
DO NOT BUY THE BULLSHIT. Iran is no where close to having a weapon. Something as simple as sanctions would cripple that nation well before they could ever make a bomb.
