Unlike the Republicans of today, the republicans of past cared more about the once great America than they did about the party. It was the republicans that told Nixon to get the hell out of the White House, again, Nation first, Party later. To bad those days are gone…
From the Washington Post (via MSNBC) (Bolds are mine)
Former president Gerald R. Ford said in an embargoed interview in July 2004 that the Iraq war was not justified. "I don't think I would have gone to war," he said a little more than a year after President Bush had launched the invasion advocated and carried out by prominent veterans of Ford's own administration.
In a four-hour conversation at his house in Beaver Creek, Colo., Ford "very strongly" disagreed with the current president's justifications for invading Iraq and said he would have pushed alternatives, such as sanctions, much more vigorously. In the tape-recorded interview, Ford was critical not only of Bush but also of Vice President Cheney — Ford's White House chief of staff — and then-Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, who served as Ford's chief of staff and then his Pentagon chief.
"Rumsfeld and Cheney and the president made a big mistake in justifying going into the war in Iraq. They put the emphasis on weapons of mass destruction," Ford said. "And now, I've never publicly said I thought they made a mistake, but I felt very strongly it was an error in how they should justify what they were going to do."

The number of dead soldiers has reached, and now past the number of people that dies in the attacks on September 11th 2001. For what great cause did they die for Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and the rest of the Republican cabal? Please tell the American people, the parents of those that we have lost and the world how you justify the losing more people in Iraq, that had nothing to do with the attacks on this nation on 9/11 than we lost on that sad day.
I say this to you Mr. Bush, there is a special place for you and yours in hell, a place that will be hell to those in hell. You have more innocent blood on your hands than any living person on earth. The monster Osama bin Ladin himself has cleaner hands then you do Mr. Bush.

I love it when right-wing Christo-Nazis hate-mongers get caught saying stupid shit, showing the world that they are nothing more than misguided morons. Well the great state of North Carolina gave one such moron, his name Rep. Robin Hayes and what did he say, “Stability in Iraq ultimately depends on spreading the message of Jesus Christ, the message of peace on earth, good will towards men. Everything depends on everyone learning about the birth of the Savior.” He goes on to say, “Everything depends on everyone learning about the birth of the savior”
You can read it here.
Yes this guy said that in order to win in Iraq, we have to convert the Iraqis, who did nothing to us I remind you, to Christianity. We attack a nation that did nothing to us, and we need to convert them?
But it gets better, in true whack-job style, it is not his statements that are egregious it is the evil bloggers for pointing it out. His spokesman, Carolyn Hern that while she did not attend the speech, she has no reason to doubt what Hayes' says. She blamed the evil Democrats for taking them out of context. Read it again, and try to take it out of context?
"It's interesting how these bloggers can distort the news," Hern said.
Here is one of the evil bloggers post on it, how dare he point out that Hayes is a moron! You can also see it in ThinkProgress' "Think Fast"

I predict that in the next 6 months one of three things is going to happen, One Bush is going to resign and like a world class coward, flee to Paraguay. Two he is going to tell Congress to stick it when they start subpoenaing his ass, and they will be forced to impeach him, but he will be a no show, because he fled to Paraguay. Or my last prediction is that Dick Cheney will ask him to go hunting, to save his own ass.
U.S.News & World Report
Evidence continues to mount that the new Democratic majority plans to investigate the war, energy policy, and other Bush policies, as key committees have begun hiring lawyer-investigators whose job will be to probe the administration. In the House, for example, the Appropriations Committee under Rep. John Murtha's direction is hiring investigators who will be charged with looking into the administration's war policies and spending in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also, Rep. Henry Waxman, the incoming chairman of the House Government Reform Committee who's been dogging the vice president's energy task force, is also hiring lawyers. A Democratic leadership official said that the planned hearings and investigations into the war and other issues the lawyer-investigators are being hired to look into will be "very focused." In the Senate, officials said similar hirings were underway in a speeded up effort to have people in place for the start of the new Congress, especially the planned early January hearings into the war and military spending that are set to begin January 8.

Well this is good news. I was a gay Airman and I found very few ever has a real issue with it. I was not out, but everyone knew…
From PlanetOut
A recent poll from Zogby International and the Michael D Palm Center shows that US military personnel are increasingly at ease serving with openly gay colleagues.
The poll reveals that 73 percent of military members aren't bothered by lesbians and gays. Nearly one in four (23 percent) service members report knowing for sure that someone in their unit is lesbian or gay, including 21 percent of those in combat units.
"Today's poll is one more nail in the coffin of 'don't ask, don't tell,'" said C. Dixon Osburn, executive director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.
"Those who defend the law have argued that openly gay personnel harm military readiness. This research highlights the absurdity of such a hypothesis. Not only are there more than 65,000 lesbians and gays serving in the armed forces, but many are serving openly.
"Their straight colleagues are just fine with that. At a time when our fighting forces are stretched thin and leaders are calling for the recruitment of more troops, it is time for Congress to do away with this archaic law."

Bush has leaked his plan for Iraq, and I was right a few weeks ago, it is a simple “Stay the Course”, now with more troops!
This is the grand plan, same bullshit policy, the same bullshit leader, just more of our troops to shoot at. Has Bush ever read a book on Vietnam, ever? Bush always said that he would listen to the generals on the ground; you know what they have said? “Do not send more troops, just get us the hell out of here”
From the AP
President Bush, working to recraft his strategy in Iraq, said Tuesday that he plans to increase the size of the U.S. military so it can fight a long-term war against terrorism.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Bush said he has asked his new defense chief, Robert Gates, to report back to him with a plan to increase ground forces. The president did not say how many troops might be added, but said he agreed with officials in the Pentagon and on Capitol Hill that the current military is being stretched too thin to deal with demands of fighting terrorism.
"I'm inclined to believe that we do need to increase our troops - the Army, the Marines," Bush said in the Oval Office session. "And I talked about this to Secretary Gates and he is going to spend some time talking to the folks in the building, come back with a recommendation to me about how to proceed forward on this idea."
Top generals have expressed concern that even temporarily shipping thousands of more troops would be largely ineffective in the absence of bold new political and economic steps, and that it would leave the already stretched Army and Marines Corps even thinner once the surge ended.
They also worry that it feeds a perception that the strife and chaos in Iraq is mainly a military problem; in their view it is largely political, fed by economic distress.

Looks like Americans would rather be abducted and probed by Gay Aliens than agree with Bush’s Iraq War policy.
From CNN
Support for President Bush's management of the war in Iraq has dropped to a new low as he ponders a change in the U.S. strategy there, according to a CNN poll released Monday.
The survey, conducted for CNN by Opinion Research Corporation, found Bush's overall job approval at 36 percent — little changed from the last CNN poll, taken Dec. 5-7. Sixty-two percent said they disapproved of his performance in office, up from 57 percent in the previous poll.
But support for his management of the war in Iraq dropped considerably, from 34 percent earlier this month to 28 percent in Monday's poll. And a record 70 percent said they disapproved of his handling of the nearly 4-year-old war.
The current poll surveyed 1,019 adults from Friday through Sunday. It has a sampling error of 3 percentage points.
Monday's poll results suggest the widespread dissatisfaction with the Iraq war may be dragging down public approval of Bush's handling of anti-terrorism efforts as well. Support for his management of that issue plunged to 42 percent, down from 50 percent in a poll taken Oct. 13-15, while the percentage of those who disapproved rose from 47 percent to 55 percent — the first time more than 50 percent have registered disapproval on that topic.

Well now that the White House is no longer going to play the “Game” when it comes to questions about Iraq, it is time for us to read what is going on. Oh look what I found, a report from the Pentagon says that attacks are up 22% from just 3 months ago.
I thought that the insurgence was in there “death throws”, or what that just another bull shit propaganda piece from this White House.
Keep in mind that while we wait for George to decide (because he is the decider) what to do in this mess he got us into soldiers are dieing. I have always wondered what it is like to feel no pain for others. To see death on the TV, and feel nothing. To know that there is blood running in the streets with your name on it, and simply not care. George care to tell us?
From the AP via CBS News
Attacks on U.S. and Iraqi troops and Iraqi civilians jumped sharply in recent months to the highest level since Iraq regained its sovereignty in June 2004, the Pentagon told Congress on Monday in the latest indication of that country's spiraling violence.
In a report issued the same day Robert Gates took over as defense secretary, the Pentagon said that from mid-August to mid-November, the weekly average number of attacks increased 22 percent from the previous three months.
The worst violence was in Baghdad and in the western province of Anbar, long the focus of activity by Sunni insurgents.
The military said Tuesday that a Marine died the previous day from wounds sustained from enemy action in Anbar, bringing to 61 the number of American military personnel killed in Iraq in December.
The Marine, whose name was withheld pending family notification, was assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations Capable.
At least 2,950 members of the U.S. military have died since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003, according to an Associated Press count.

White House Press Secretary. Tony "Do you like my Hair" Snow said that “I'm not playing the game anymore” when asked if he agreed with the former Secretary of State, and Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell’s comment that we are not winning in Iraq. So to ask the White House if we are winning in Iraq, in a WAR OF CHOOSE is nto a game?
So clearly the White House things that solders and civilians lives are a game.

For a long time I thought that Bill “Falafel” O’Reilly was the dumbest man on the planet, and then I hear the comments of Tony Blankley on this weekend’s “Meet the Press”.
He exclaimed something to the effect (Because the transcript is not up yet) that the Christians had been celebrating Christmas on December 25th long before the Pagans used the date to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
Now Tony, there are a few things you need to know before you open your big fat mouth. First, no Pagans celebrate the Winter Solstice on December 25th, most Pagans celebrate the Winter Solstice on the Winter Solstice, dumb ass (This year Dec 22, 2006 - 00:22 UST). Unlike Christmas, which is made up out of whole cloth, the Winter Solstice is a documented and verified point in time that houses the shortest day of the year. Now I am going to say something that may offend Christians all over America, but the Winter Solstice can be proven by science and the interments that are used in science, mainly in this case, a watch.
The Second part of your statement shows just how much of an ideological moron you really are. Pagans, and the celebration of the Winter Solstice predates Christianity by possibly more than a thousand years. You see Tony, your “Faith” is the new kid on the block, in terms of some of the other faiths of the world, still in diapers (I conclude this also by the way many of you act).
Now to you non-pagans you may ask, well what is the Winter Solstice to Pagans. Easy, it is the birth of god (Hmm sound familiar?) God being the sun, and given that the Winter Solstice is the shortest DAY (Ruled by the sun) of the year, the next day is longer, the sun is “reborn” for the year.
So Tony, before you open your mouth you should stick something in your brain. It is better to be thought of as a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. You should pass that along to your FAUX NEWS co-workers.

taken on candidate biographies and accomplishments of potential Democratic candidates had Gravel in second place, tied with Mike Gravel, born May 13, 1930, in Springfield, Massachusetts. U.S. Senator from Alaska from 1969 to 1981 and an active candidate for Vice President in 1972. He was notable for advocating a guaranteed annual income, which he termed a "citizen's wage," of $5,000 per person, irrespective of whether the person worked. On April 13, 2006, Gravel announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination. His policy announcements to date include support for direct democracy, FairTax and withdrawal from Iraq. His is considered a very longshot candidacy since former Sen. Gravel will be 78 years old at the time of the general election and will have been out of federal politics for almost three decades at the time of the election. Interestingly, a Zogby poll taken on November 3, 2006John Kerry and slightly behind Hillary Clinton. [3]
Mike Gravel filed with the FEC in April according to various news sources.[1] [2] The FEC's site has listed his reports since July.[3]

Dennis Kucinich, Ohio Congressman, and 2004 Democratic primary candidate. Kucinich got the second highest number of votes at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Kucinich threw his support behind Kerry in 2004 although a sizable number of Kucinich's delegates refused to follow suit. There has been a strong movement to draft Kucinich for the Presidency in 2008. He has the most grassroots support of any of the 2008 nominees, with Democrats, Greens, and independents urging him to run for the White House. Dennis Kucinich led the opposition to the war in Iraq in 2003. He also led the fight against U.S.A. PATRIOT in the House of Representatives. Kucinich is currently leading the fight to end the war in Iraq by cutting all funding to the war. Kucinich is the leader of the opposition to war in Iran. Kucinich's proposed Department of Peace has widespread grassroots support of people across America. Kucinich has received a great many awards from a variety of groups for his courage and work for peace. He is also a popular favorite among youth activists. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported in December 2006 that there was talk on Capitol Hill about Kucinich jumping into the fray again. [4] On December 11, 2006 the New York Times reported that Mr. Kucinich told a reporter "Yes, I am" in response to a question about a 2008 run.[4] On December 12, 2006 Kucinich announced his candidacy at an event at Cleveland's City Hall.[5]

Tom Vilsack, born December 13, 1950, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Governor of Iowa, Chairman of the Democratic Leadership Council. Vilsack will be succeeded as governor by Iowa Secretary of State Chet Culver (D). Many suspected Vilsack was high on the list of potential running mates for John Kerry in the 2004 Presidential Election. He has recently been increasing his national exposure.[6][7] In 2005, Vilsack established Heartland PAC,[8]a political action committee aimed at electing Democratic Governors and other statewide candidates. Unlike the PACs of potential candidates, Heartland PAC is not a federal PAC and can not contribute to federal candidates.
On November 9, 2006, Vilsack announced that he would be filing papers with the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) to run for President.[9]

 Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton |
Hillary Rodham Clinton, born October 26, 1947 in Illinois, U.S. Senator from New York and former First Lady of the United States. While frequently asked by media interviewers about her plans for 2008, she has remained noncommital, saying she'd be focusing on her work for her 2006 Senate re-election campaign. In spite of this, polling organizations generally include her on polls involving likely candidates. She has delivered several speeches, including one on abortion, which analysts say are intended to reach out to moderates. She has also been a consistent, vocal supporter of America's participation in the Iraq war, perhaps as part of an effort to shake perceptions of being overly liberal[citation needed]. She has also been holding fundraising meetings, including meeting with women from Massachusetts, a key constituency of potential rival and 2004 nominee John Kerry.(a) However, these activities are consistent with the lead up to a campaign for re-election to her Senate seat in 2006. Many Republicans appear to desire Hillary Clinton's candidacy for President, presumably believing her to be a polarizing figure and thus easy to defeat. Her Federal Leadership PAC is HILLPAC.[14]

Democratic John Edwards, born June 10, 1953 in South Carolina, former U.S. Senator from North Carolina and 2004vice-presidential candidate. As a Presidential candidate Edwards was famed for his populist message in his "Two Americas" Speech and also for being one of the most optimistic candidates seen in a long time. This was evidenced by his refusal to attack his opponents. In the primaries Sen. Edwards had strong come-from-behind showings and nearly winning in the crucial states of Iowa, Oklahoma, Virginia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, and Georgia. He also won the North Carolina and South Carolina primaries. And Edwards has kept his Federal Leadership PAC, the One America Committee [6], to help Democrats across the nation win elections in the future. On February 5, 2005, Edwards spoke at the New Hampshire Democratic Party's fundraising dinner. On August 18, 2005, Edwards traveled to Waterloo, Iowa to deliver an address to the Iowa AFL-CIO, a potential key supporter in the Iowa caucus. On December 16, 2006, Democratic officials reported that Edwards has expressed his intention to run in 2008; Edwards himself, however, has not yet officially announced his candidacy. [16]

- 'I am not planning to run for president again,' Gore said last week, arguing that his focus is raising public awareness about global warming and its dire effects. Then, he added: 'I haven't completely ruled it out.' [17]
In the summer of 2006, he was the messenger in the documentary entitled An Inconvenient Truth which concerns bringing forth scientific evidence to support anthropogenic climate change and to alert people on a grassroots level as to what they can do to be part of the solution in facing its effects. Also, after the2000 elections, Gore was an early critic of the Iraq War, and much of the Bush administration's foreign policy. After Hurricane Katrina , Gore personally chartered two private airplanes to assist 270 Katrina evacuees stuck in a hospital, with four feet of water surrounding it and no food or water and offered to pay for both, although his friend Larry Flax of California Pizza Kitchen offered to pay for one of the flights after hearing about Gore's actions. While Gore criticized the slow response of the Bush administration during Katrina, he refused to make a public statement about the "mercy missions," but his personal physician stated "Gore told me he wanted to do this because like all of us he wanted to seize the opportunity to do what one guy can do, given the assets that he has." [7] As of mid-2006, Gore has seen a dramatic increase of support amongst the grassroots Democratic constituency, who have stated a high level of support for a possible Gore candidacy in recent polls taken byDaily Kos , with Gore leading all other possible 2008 Democratic nominees with 35% of respondents supporting him, and a surprisingly high number of respondents (68%), preferred Gore as the 2008 Democratic nominee in anAlterNet poll.

 Senator John Kerry |
John Kerry, born December 11, 1943 in Denver, Colorado, U.S. Senator from Massachusetts, and the unsuccessful 2004 Democratic presidential nominee. On March 1, 2005, Kerry created a new Federal Leadership PAC, Keeping America's Promise[8], which he plans to use to maintain national visibility and political viability.[18] Kerry has recruited several top staffers to run it including John Giesser, the No. 2 operative at the DNC in 2000 and 2004, and Jay Dunn, who served as DNC finance director, to manage its finances. Also involved are Jenny Backus and Leigh Garland who worked under Terry McAuliffe and long-time Kerry fundraisers Josh Warren and Jon Patsavos. "That’s a very, very high-powered team that he’s keeping in place. You don’t generally spend those kind of resources and put that effort in building the A team to run for another term in the U.S. Senate," said former DNC chairman Steve Grossman. [9] Dan Payne, a Democratic strategist, told the Washington Post that "This is the kind of thing he has to do" in order to run for President in 2008.[19] Through Keeping America's Promise, Kerry has raised $1.1 million in the first quarter of 2006 from 11,000 donors nationally. [10] Kerry told CNN, with respect to a run in 2008, "it's crazy to be thinking about it now" but went on to say that "I'll make my judgment when the time comes and I don't care what history says." [11] Kerry raised eyebrows when he made a strong statement as to how to lead in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina following Bush's address to the nation. [12] Kerry is buoyed by polls that show him beating George Bush by 10% if the 2004 election were held this year, as well as his ability to draw overflowing crowds while stumping for other Democrats in traditionally Republican strongholds such as Texas and South Carolina. However, there was a minor controversy on October 30, 2006 over a speech made by Kerry at Pasadena City College. Future implications of his comments are still unclear, however Kerry himself claimed the incident will have little bearing on 2008 and that he will make a decision in early 2007. [13] [14] [15] [16]

Barack Obama, born August 4, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii, U.S. Senator from Illinois. A "draft Obama" movement began with his well-received keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Neil Young mentioned him as a potential President in his song "Looking for a Leader". In September 2006, Obama's Senate primary opponent Daniel Hynes, in an open letter published in the Chicago Sun-Times, urged Democrats to draft Obama for the 2008 Presidential race.[20] Also in September, Obama was the featured speaker at Iowa Senator Tom Harkin's annual steak fry, a political event favored by presidential hopefuls in the lead-up to the Iowa caucus. He was endorsed by talk show host Oprah Winfrey in 2006.[21] Most recently, TIME Magazine ran a cover story by Joe Klein with the headline "Why Barack Obama Could Be the Next President."[22]. On October 22, 2006, he acknowledged he was considering a run for president, backing off previous statements to the contrary. He said he would make a decision after the November 7 mid-term elections.[23] On a November 7 interview on CNN, Obama said he was likely to go back and reflect, talk with his wife, and not make a decision until January, 2007. Various recent opinion polls have seen Obama's support rising, with him trailing only Hillary Clinton in several polls. He says he will make a final determination in January after a two week vacation in Hawaii.[24]

When asked about 2008, he replied, "Don't get Hillary mad at me."[25] He was one of the first candidates to enter the 2004 race, but thus far he has said nothing more about 2008. His 2004 campaign was not a great success. He never got more than 10% of the vote in any state, although he did get 20% in theDistrict of Columbia. [26] There are still unresolved campaign-finance issues left over from this campaign. According to a November 23rd article in the New York Daily News, Sharpton said he is "considering" a presidential run in 2008, adding, "I'm waiting to see if someone raises the issues I want to see raised," said Sharpton, citing the Iraq war, civil rights and education.[19] |
| Potential candidates who decided against running |
 Senator Evan Bayh |
Evan Bayh, was born December 26, 1955 in Indiana, former two-term Governor and currently a second-term U.S. Senator from that state. In February of 2005, Bayh renamed his Federal LeadershipPAC the All America PAC[27] and hired a new veteran staff with experience on the 2004 campaigns of John Kerry and Wesley Clark for President and Tom Daschle for senate.[20] His new staff includes New Hampshire political operative Steve Bouchard, his deputy Chris Smith, longtime Democratic fundraiser Nancy Jacobson, and informal advisorRonald Klain . Even though Bayh announced the formation of an exploratory bid for president on December 3rd, 2006, he announced on December 16th, 2006 that he would not seek the Democratic nomination for President. [21]
- Senator from Indiana: 1999 - Present
- Governor of Indiana: 1989 - 1997
- Indiana Secretary of State: 1987 - 1989

 Tom Daschle, former Senator |
Tom Daschle, born December 9, 1947 in South Dakota, former U.S. Senator from that state. He has set up a new political action committee and plans a Jefferson-Jackson Day speech in the politically pivotal state of Iowa. Daschle has transferred $500,000 into the new Federal Leadership PAC, New Leadership for America.[22] In July 2005, Daschle said he was not planning a rematch against his successor John Thune in 2010 and he told the Sioux Falls Argus Leader newspaper that he was seriously considering a run and would not "rule out the possibility of an official announcement in the near future". [23]
On December 2, 2006, Daschle announced he would not run for President in 2008. [24]
- Senator from South Dakota: 1987 - 2005 (Democratic Leader: 1995 - 2005)
- Representative from the 1st District of South Dakota: 1979 - 1987
|
Howard Dean, former Governor of Vermont |
Howard Dean, born November 17, 1947 in New York, former Governor of Vermont. Howard Dean is the current DNC Chairman, and was a potential candidate for the nomination in 2004. Dean said if he won the DNC Chairmanship he would not run for president and, since he won, has often repeated this. [25]
- Governor of Vermont: 1991 - 2003

 Senator Russ Feingold |
Russ Feingold, born March 2, 1953 in Wisconsin, U.S. Senator from that state. Announced to a meeting of the Tiger Bay Club of Volusia County, Florida, in January 2005 that he was considering a run for the nomination, and would decide after "going around the country" to campaign for fellow Democrats running for other offices.[28] His Federal Leadership PAC is the Progressive Patriots Fund,[29] which will be financing his travels around the country [26]. In early March 2005, his Senate campaign registered the domain name for the website www.russfeingold08.com as well as the .org and .net versions.[30] Later that month, he took a listening trip to Alabama. [27] In early April of 2005, Feingold announced that he would be divorcing his second wife, a move which some analysts believe could diminish his chances of winning the presidential nomination. OnAugust 17, 2005, Feingold became the first U.S. Senator to publicly support a firm date for withdrawal from the Iraq War, [31] suggesting December 31, 2006 as a reasonable date. Although Feingold's stance was generally criticized by other Democratic senators, including Biden and Clinton, his support in nonscientific internet polls of party activists jumped. In December 2005 when he led the Senate campaign against the renewal of the Patriot Act his support among party activists further intensified. Following the overwhelming resonance for his anti-war and bi-partisan rule of law positions in the2006 Congressional elections , Feingold commented that the legislative victory "pushes me in both directions," and "he could make a decision on a presidential run before the end of the year" [32]. However, on November 12th, 2006, Feingold ruled out a 2008 presidential candidacy [28], but has stated he is willing to consider an offer from the eventual nominee for the vice-presidency [33]. Feingold has stated that his first choice for president in 2008 would be someone who voted against the war in Iraq, and failing that his second choice would be someone who wasn't in Congress but spoke out against the war at the time. He also said he would "be happy" ifBarack Obama or Al Gore ran, but stated he was not offering an endorsement. [34]
- Senator from Wisconsin: 1993 - Present

Mark Warner, former Governor of Virginia |
Mark Warner, born December 15, 1954 in Indiana, former Governor of Virginia. Time Magazine rated him in November 2005 as one of America's top 5 governors and Governing magazine said Virginia was the best governed state in the Nation under Warner's direction. Warner's profile increased due to his help in securing Tim Kaine's election to succeed him, seen widely as a rare victory for Democrats in a majority-Republican state. There is also a strong Draft Mark Warner for President movement, and DemStore.com has already started printing Draft Warner campaign pins and bumper stickers. On October 12, 2006, Warner unequivocally stated that he will not seek the 2008 Democratic nomination, and stated that he wanted to spend more time with his family. After his statement, he was complimented on his efforts by Sens. John Kerry and Evan Bayh. It is speculated that he will still play a strong role in the 2008 election, with his fund-raising capabilities, and his Forward Together PAC. His record may suggest that he would be a frontrunner for the Vice-Presidential nomination, and at least one person close to the former governor has acknowledged that he may spend the next year quietly campaigning for the spot[35]
- Governor of Virginia: 2002 - 2006

Many places, including here has made analogies that Bush is like Nero, he fiddled while New Orleans burned. Well he is doing the same in Iraq.
Not receiving the cover he was hoping to get out of the Iraq Study Group for his failed war policy known as “Stay the Course” Bush has decided to be a decider and decide to do nothing. Now we are seeing him traverse the Potomac river to visit with this person or that person in hope that one of these poor saps says, “I love you George, and what you are doing in Iraq is perfect” that will be the one that get heard, it could be a General, it could even be Jose Melendez the janitor in ring E of the Pentagon.
So while Bush Fiddles, Iraq Burns, we have lost 47 this month so far

and we have lost in just the past 2 days over 100 Iraqis (But to Bush and the Right-Wing, they are not really humans, so they don't count)

Please be on the look out for the Jose Melendez plan for Iraq, it will look a lot like the George Bush plan for Iraq, “Stay the Course"

At What Point is the Radical-Right Going to Call a Truce on the "War on Gays"
Every time we turn around we are seeing more and more radical-right-wing hate groups (Some call them Mega-Churches) having to scramble because the grand wizard of the group is a raging fag. Scientist have shown that in individuals, those that showed violence towards gays were more likely to be gay…
Clearly it is true. So I say to you hate groups. Leave us alone, and we will stop outing your gay leaders.
From the Aspen Daily
">This week it was disclosed that the Rev. Paul Barnes, head of a suburban Denver megaflock, is homosexual. He resigned after confessing to church colleagues his lifetime attraction to men.
"I have struggled with homosexuality since I was a 5-year-old boy," Barnes told his congregation in a videotaped presentation played Sunday. "I can't tell you the number of nights I have cried myself to sleep, begging God to take this away," the tearful minister said.
Barnes' confession came five weeks after a gay prostitute in Denver disclosed that he had sex-for-money liaisons with Pastor Ted Haggard, a leader of the evangelical movement in the United States and founder of a megachurch in Colorado Springs. He also resigned, although not as readily and willingly as Barnes did last weekend.
One gay-rights leader in Colorado, Michael Brewer, was quoted as saying that Barnes' resignation "is yet another tragedy resulting from fundamentalist religion's inability to accept the reality of sexual orientation. … The hope of many gay and lesbian people is that society will recognize that people are who they are and not attempt to force them into roles that ultimately are destructive."
These guys have all the Jesus they can handle, and they still fall in love with men. Maybe just maybe it is natural. I mean is Haggerd and Barnes can't get the lord to stop them from liking it in the ass, who can? JUST STOP THIS SHIT PEOPLE, DO WHAT JUSUS SAYS, And love those around you, all of them.
