I am not sure how you can be persecuted if you are 80% of the population. I am also not sure why it is that every time some points out that they are being hateful, they retaliate with more hateful acts?

I have spoken a lot about the new Republican strategy, pure unadulterated racism and hate mongering. Want proof, all you have to do is take a look at the sick things belched from the future president of the reinstate slavery committee, Republican Congressman Virgil Goode (From the same state as uber-Racist George Allen (VA)), in a letter to his people he said that if we do not start kicking out the Muslims that we will be overrun, and that the newly elected Congressman Keith Ellison is somehow evil.

Well Keith Ellison has done a great job at holding his tongue against the disgusting statements of Goode. So on the eve of his swearing in as the first Muslim Congressman ever, Ellison will have the last laugh. In a move that I think is classic, he has made a call over to the Library of Congress and asked the curator of the �Rare Books and Special Collections� to allow him to take his oath of office on not just any Quran, but the very Quran that was owned by the founding father, Thomas Jefferson. This Quran was printed in the 1700 in England, translated from Arabic into English. In what makes this such a great classic move is that the birth place of Thomas Jefferson is a highlight of Goode�s district.

I have always asked why it that the right-wing hate groups such as "Focus on the Family", and the "Christian Coalition" refuse to teach the teachings of Jesus, but instead make up an agenda out of whole cloth and force on others as gospel.

Now I an no longer a Christian, my reasons are many, but I was one for years and always struggled to know why a faith would choose to loose its way for money and power. Why we are told clearly to do one thing, and we defiantly do another. That being said, if Christians ever take the time to read the Bible, not just have it interpreted to them they would see that there is an underlining story about Jesus. The Bible shows a track record that can not be ignored. He reached out to the lowest members of society, the poor people, women, tax collectors, lepers, children, and even prostitutes.

Well the leader elect of the �Christian Coalition� has stepped down before he even starts because �Leadership� refused to allow him to expand its agenda to include issues such as poverty and the environment. �Christian Coalition� said that he can not go beyond the hate groups gays and abortion agenda, that there was no place in the �Christian Coalition� for things Jesus taught about.

The president-elect of the Christian Coalition of America has declined the job, saying the organization wouldn't let him expand its agenda beyond opposing abortion and same-sex marriage.

The Rev. Joel Hunter, who was scheduled to take over the socially conservative group in January from Roberta Combs, said he had hoped to focus on issues such as poverty and the environment.

"These are issues that Jesus would want us to care about," said Hunter, a senior pastor at Northland Church in Longwood, Fla.

Hunter announced his decision not to take the job during an organization board meeting Nov. 21. A statement issued by the group said Hunter left because of "differences in philosophy and vision." Hunter said he was not asked to leave.

"They pretty much said, 'These issues are fine, but they're not our issues, that's not our base,' " Hunter said.

His resignation is the latest setback for the once-powerful group.

A week or so ago I told you that the new Republican strategy is to reclaim the mantel as the party of Racists. For a while they were trying to shed that image. The gay ring leader of the Republican party, Ken Mehlman was openly apologizing for the �Southern Strategy� the Republicans use of race to turn the south red. They quickly walked away from Trent Lott when he made is little Pro-segregation remarks at Strome�s birthday party a few years ago, and they were for the 2000 � 2006 election cycles openly tiring to woo the black vote.

It is my belief that two truths became clear in the wake of the 2006 election. Truth one, the campaign to woo the blacks to the Republican Party is not working. Votes for Republicans by black voters was worst than in 2004. The second and more damaging truth is that the tragedy of 9/11 along with the disaster in Iraq has made the �The terrorists are hiding in your basement� argument a little less effective. This has placed the Republicans in a bad spot, you see the Republicans can only win by dividing us up, and for a while we had those Muslims to do it, but as this argument wore thing, so did the Republican Party. So.. back to the unadulterated racism!

Student group offers scholarship for whites only

BOSTON, Massachusetts (Reuters) — A Boston University student group is offering a scholarship for white students to protest financial aid programs in the United States that select by ethnic background, university officials said on Tuesday.

The group, Boston University College Republicans, told campus publications the $250 Caucasian Achievement and Recognition Scholarship was intended as a statement and they had raised funds privately for the award, which does not have the backing of the university.

The Republicans were trounced last week, and now the Republicans are doing a post-mortem and seeing what they can roll out given that terrorist threats are not working anymore. So what is the new Republican strategy, well it is an old Republican strategy, pure unabashed racism.

First the Republicans fire Ken Mehlman, the closeted queer, that spent most of his time attempting to convince the African Americans that they can be Republicans. Well the new, old Republicans can�t have that. Next they go ahead and elect Trent Lott, the man who said that this nation would be better off if the segregation party had won the presidency. Basically Trent Lott is such a racist that George Allen was jealous.

So I predict that the Republican party will use this as the new differentiator, the new Republican slogan will be �Wake up White Prople!�

The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted today to bar from membership any congregations that affirm or approve of homosexuality.

The move enacts one of the most rigid anti-gay policies among the nation's Christian churches.

The vote changes the convention's long-standing laws, which previously only had one simple requirement for membership: support the convention with both cooperation and financial contributions.

Now any churches that "knowingly act to affirm, approve, endorse, promote, support or bless homosexual behavior" can't belong to the group. A convention spokesman says 17 churches that belong to a group that welcomes gays as equal members will come under immediate scrutiny.

Jim Webb, the former Marine, Secretary of the Navy, Assistance Secretary of Defense and father to a son serving in Iraq as we speak, has been elected to be the next Senator from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This is a great day for our men and women in uniform, they now have a Senator that knows what the �Fog of War� really is, and can find Iraq on a map, without any help from staff. I hope that Jim Webb can bring a real �We support the Troops� attitude to the US Senate, and not the fake yellow ribbon support the current Republican Senate gives us.

This leaves the racist George Allen to return to his old life of KKK meetings and stuffing dear heads in African American people�s mailboxes. Many that know him say the same thing, he is a cruel man going out of his way to hurt people. Well Mr. Allen, Virginia thanks you for your time, and sends you on your way.

With 99% of the votes in, Webb has 1,141,052, while George “Racist” Allen has 1,138,676.

It is my understanding that the votes that are still being counted are all from the inter-Richmond area, very black, vary Dem.

We also have won 18 seats so far, I am sure we will win more, but I have to sleep.

I may be wrong here, but I think that a war hero will win over a racist sack of shit.

Republican Senator George �Maccaca� Allen�s Campaign beats the shit out of someone who asked the senator questions. Man, I hope you right-wing shits are happy with the new America you have created.

I just love me some hypocritical tactics in the morning. George “Maccaca” Allen, the racist re-running here in Virginia is desperate to find some dirt on his Democratic opponent Jim (James) Webb. I mean Allen is having a hard time, Webb’s son is currently serving in Iraq, Webb was a deputy Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of the Navy. Jim Webb has more smarts in his little finger than George Allen has in his whole family.

So what does George Allen do, well I will repost what Sherry Greenburg posted on the California Majority Report…

It’s desperation time. Thursday night, VA Senator George Allen’s campaign leaked to Drudge salacious quotations contained in some books penned by Jim Webb.  Allen’s campaign had been trying for weeks to get mainstream media to pick up the story, to no avail.  Apparently, no one, except for Drudge, found years-old passages, contained in well-respected novels about Webb’s service in Vietnam, newsworthy.  The leaked passages were about events Webb had witnessed.  And, the books were so respected that John McCain was quoted on the book jacket of one of the books noting that the novel was an accurate representation of what soldiers witnessed in Vietnam.
 
Once the GOP used its time-tested conduit of Drudge to a Murdoch paper to Fox to mainstream media, stories of these passages permeated Friday’s news.  But, something remarkable happened.  Unlike when Kerry was swift-boated, Webb and Democrats fought back.  Democratic talking heads noted, when they appeared on television on Friday, that (a) these books were about the real experience in Vietnam, (b) Webb had a distinguished record of serving while Allen was puttering around a dude ranch, (c) McCain endorsed Webb’s book, and (d) Lynn Cheney wrote a book containing lesbian love scenes, Scooter Libby also wrote a novel containing salacious material and Allen’s own sister published a book containing real life brutality she and her siblings experienced at Allen’s hand.  The pushback was so effective that Lynn Cheney got into quite a dustup with Wolf Blitzer over her own prose.
 
Webb also did not hesitate to immediately repudiate Allen’s attempted smear.  Early Friday morning, he appeared on local DC-area radio.  And then, held several rallies over the weekend where he addressed this nonsense head-on.
 
Turnabout being fair play, on Saturday, the DSCC issued a press release demanding answers from Allen about a real controversy — why was Allen arrested in 1974?  Records in Albemarle County show that arrest warrants were issued for Allen when he was a student at the University of Virginia.  Allen’s camp claims that the warrants were for parking tickets and fishing without a license. There is a paucity of additional information in the courthouse, due to routine destruction of old records. Thus, the DSCC is demanding that Allen release his Virginia Bar application — a document which should contain his narrative of any arrests.  So far, the Allen campaign has refused. If there is nothing to hide, why shouldn’t Allen release his bar application?  Is it because the warrants were for something more substantial than what was claimed by his aides or did he fail to note, as required, the arrests?
 
If Allen can attack fiction as a supposed disqualification for Webb to hold high office, shouldn’t the truth of Allen’s own arrests be fair game?  This is going to be an interesting week.

CrellMoset over on the DailyKOS has dug up something very about Sen. George "Racist To My Core" Allen. She has found out that there were some Warrents out on him… I wonder what for?

George Allen’s college football teammates told Salon that they observed him regularly engaging in racist behavior.  He used the ‘n-word’ to refer to his black teammates, said that he liked Virginia because "blacks knew their place," and gave a KKK-inspired nickname of "Wizard" to another teammate. He also stuffed a deer head in a black family’s mailbox–a hate crime.

This should end Allen’s bid for Senate and his presidential aspirations.

A second white teammate, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he feared retribution from the Allen campaign, separately claimed that Allen used the word "nigger" to describe blacks. "It was so common with George when he was among his white friends. This is the terminology he used," the teammate said.

George Felix Allen, Jr.: Thrown out of California because he was too racist. He’s too racist for Virginia, too. Let’s throw him out of the US Senate!

Shelton said he also remembers a disturbing deer hunting trip with Allen on land that was owned by the family of Billy Lanahan, a wide receiver on the team. After they had killed a deer, Shelton said he remembers Allen asking Lanahan where the local black residents lived. Shelton said Allen then drove the three of them to that neighborhood with the severed head of the deer. "He proceeded to take the doe’s head and stuff it into a mailbox," Shelton said.

Allen’s confederate flag — his noose — ‘macaca’ — all of it not a coincidence but the sign of a man who hates black people (and all non-whites) so much he can’t hide it. He cannot escape his past, and we cannot let him represent Virginia. To refresh your memory:

Allen wore a Confederate flag pin on his lapel in his 1970 graduation picture from a Southern California high school. He hung a noose from a plant in his Charlottesville law office in the 1980s and a Confederate flag inside his home. As governor in the mid-1990s, he alienated some by signing a resolution that designated a Confederate history month in Virginia but did not acknowledge the evils of slavery.

Now we know what those mean.

Allen, 54, said he did not see racial overtones in the Confederate flag.

Liar.

He said he was a rebellious youth and viewed the banner as a "symbol against authority."

Liar.

Reached Monday evening, Allen said that the word had no derogatory meaning for him and that he was sorry. "I would never want to demean him as an individual. I do apologize if he’s offended by that. That was no way the point." Asked what macaca means, Allen said: "I don’t know what it means." He said the word sounds similar to "mohawk," a term that his campaign staff had nicknamed Sidarth because of his haircut. Sidarth said his hairstyle is a mullet — tight on top, long in the back.

Liar.

Allen, in his speech Tuesday, said: "I’ve learned a valuable lesson about the power of words, about how words carelessly chosen, or in my case, even made up, can have a totally unintended meaning and impact for another person from another background or from a different cultural perspective."

Liar. A racist his whole life and a dishonorable man. Let’s show our thanks to his former teammates who showed us the hate that motivates George Felix Allen Jr, and honor their bravery in speaking up. Putting his name on these charges is amazing, especially considering that two former teammates could not–because they are afraid of G. Felix Allen’s bully tactics. Whistleblowers like Ken Shelton are what make this country great, and he’s going to get swiftboated post haste. Once again the facts are so bad there is no reason to make up any lies. Sen. George Allen, you know the "macaca" calling racist that is running to keep his seat in VA, well he voted NAY on a bill to give our troops proper body armor in Iraq, and the vets are fighting back.
