George Bush simply can not tell the truth. He and Bill O’Riley are the only people who just don’t get that every word that comes out of their mouth is on the record. Bush said this morning, “We’ve never been stay the course”, What, are you out of your mind George, you have said it so much that it has become a punch line! You have coupled that with the phrase “Cut and Run” for anyone who questioned your failed “Stay the Course”
ush responded, ‘We’ve never been about stay the course, George!’ Watch it:
Bush is wrong:
BUSH: We will stay the course. [8/30/06]
BUSH: We will stay the course, we will complete the job in Iraq. [8/4/05]
BUSH: We will stay the course until the job is done, Steve. And the temptation is to try to get the President or somebody to put a timetable on the definition of getting the job done. We’re just going to stay the course. [12/15/03]
BUSH: And my message today to those in Iraq is: We’ll stay the course. [4/13/04]
BUSH: And that’s why we’re going to stay the course in Iraq. And that’s why when we say something in Iraq, we’re going to do it. [4/16/04]
BUSH: And so we’ve got tough action in Iraq. But we will stay the course. [4/5/04]
Full transcript:
STEPHANOPOULOS: James Baker says that he’s looking for something between “cut and run” and “stay the course.”
BUSH: Well, hey, listen, we’ve never been “stay the course,” George. We have been — we will complete the mission, we will do our job, and help achieve the goal, but we’re constantly adjusting to tactics. Constantly.

Wow, George Allen is just dishonest, or a moron, not sure. What I do know is he is cruel human and a raciest, now…
From AP
For the past five years, Sen. George Allen has failed to tell Congress about stock options he got for his work as a director of a high-tech company. The Virginia Republican also asked the Army to help another business that gave him similar options.
.
Congressional rules require senators to disclose to the Senate all deferred compensation, such as stock options. The rules also urge senators to avoid taking any official action that could benefit them financially or appear to do so.
Those requirements exist so the public can police lawmakers for possible conflicts of interest, especially involving companies with government business that lawmakers can influence.
Allen’s stock options date to the period from January 1998 to January 2001 when Allen was between political jobs and had plunged into the corporate world.
An Associated Press review of Allen’s financial dealings from that era found that the senator:
- Did not have to look far to find corporate suitors, joining three Virginia high-tech companies he assisted as governor. Allen served on boards of directors for Xybernaut and Commonwealth Biotechnologies and advised a third company called Com-Net Ericsson, all government contractors.
- Twice failed to promptly alert the Securities and Exchange Commission of insider stock transactions as a Xybernaut and Commonwealth director. The SEC requires timely notification and can fine those who file late.
- Kept stock options provided to him for serving as a director of Xybernaut and Commonwealth, but steered other compensation from his board service to his law firm.
Allen, a potential 2008 presidential candidate, rose to prominence as a conservative from Virginia, serving in the U.S. House and as governor. From 1998 through 2000, he worked as a private lawyer and businessman before joining the Senate in 2001.
He now faces a tough re-election campaign against Democrat Jim Webb.

The National Intelligence Estimate — “the most authoritative document[] that the intelligence community produces” — was delivered to President Bush and Vice President Cheney in April 2006. It was declassified today. Here’s a key excerpt:
The Iraq conflict has become the ’cause celebre’ for jihadists, breeding a deep resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for the global jihadist movement.
President Bush, August 21 2006:
Vice President Cheney, September 10, 2006:
Transcripts:

BUSH: You know, I’ve heard this theory about everything was just fine until we arrived, and kind of “we’re going to stir up the hornet’s nest” theory. It just doesn’t hold water, as far as I’m concerned. The terrorists attacked us and killed 3,000 of our citizens before we started the freedom agenda in the Middle East.
Clip 2
RUSSERT: Here’s what the American people said in a recent poll. Is the U.S. involvement in Iraq or Afghanistan creating more terrorists or eliminating terrorists? And look at that. Overwhelmingly, 54 percent, clear majority, believe we are creating more terrorists.
TEXT:
U.S. INVOLVEMENT IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN
CREATING MORE TERRORISTS 54%
ELIMINATING TERRORISTS 15%

CHENEY: I, I, I can’t buy that.

In April, President Bush received the National Intelligence Estimate, which “represents a consensus view of the 16 separate spy services inside government.” NIEs are “the most authoritative documents that the intelligence community produces…and are approved by John D. Negroponte, director of national intelligence.”
Here’s what the NIE said, according to the New York Times:
[T]he American invasion and occupation of Iraq has helped spawn a new generation of Islamic radicalism and that the overall terrorist threat has grown since the Sept. 11 attacks…The report “says that the Iraq war has made the overall terrorism problem worse,” said one American intelligence official.
On August 21, President Bush held a press conference and told the American people the exact opposite. Watch it:
Digg It!

The Bush administration continues to falsely link Saddam Hussein with the 9/11 hijackers. On Sunday, Tim Russert, host of NBC’s Meet the Press, asked Vice President Cheney if he still believed 9/11 hijacker Mohammed Atta ever met with an Iraqi intelligence official in Prague. Cheney replied:
We don’t know. I mean, we’ve never been able to, to, to link it, and the FBI and CIA have worked it aggressively. I would say, at this point, nobody has been able to confirm…
But in fact, we do know. Today Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA) wrote to Cheney and pointed out at least four reports that have concluded the meeting between Atta and an Iraqi intelligence officer never took place:
Just last Friday, the Senate Intelligence Committee released a report that cites multiple declassified intelligence assessments, some from as early as mid-2002, reporting evidence that the meeting did not occur. In addition, the 9/11 Commission concluded that “[t]he available evidence does not support the original Czech report” of a meeting between Mohammed Atta and an Iraqi officer.
There are also classified assessments on this topic from the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency, dated 20 March 2006 and 27 April 2006, respectively.
The evidence is now public and the facts undisputed that the Prague meeting never happened. There was no provable link between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda prior to 9/11.
During the same interview, Cheney also continued to falsely cite terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as the link between pre-war Iraq and al-Qaeda.

A super tip of the hat for putting this together to The Cunning Realist!
Q Quick follow-up. A lot of the consequences you mentioned for pulling out seem like maybe they never would have been there if we hadn’t gone in. How do you square all of that?
THE PRESIDENT: I square it because, imagine a world in which you had Saddam Hussein who had the capacity to make a weapon of mass destruction, who was paying suiciders to kill innocent life, who would — who had relations with Zarqawi.
Press conference 8/21/06
Postwar information indicates that Saddam Hussein attempted, unsuccessfully, to locate and capture al-Zarqawi and that the regime did not have a relationship with, harbor, or turn a blind eye toward Zarqawi. Postwar information from an al-Qa’ida detainee indicated that Saddam’s regime "considered al-Zarqawi an outlaw" and blamed his network, operating in Kurdish-controlled northern Iraq, for two bombings in Baghdad.

Now Bush, and his Republican protectors in Congress, are on the campaign trail promoting fear, but they have painted themselves into a conflicting corners. How do you try to prop up waning support for the illegal war in Iraq, and still do your best to scare the shit out of Americans so they will vote for your party.
In the run up to the war in Iraq, Bush, and his Republican buddies did their best to fool the American people into going along for the war, and yet all of it was a total lie. Fact is Bush wanted to go to war with Iraq long before 9/11, the event only gave him a chance to scare you into allowing it. He used the tragic events of that sunny September morning to lie us into war, he squandered our resolve.

Yah, we are now as low as the USSR! Today Bush admits, I think a total slip of the tongue, that we do in fact have CIA secret prisons, so he lied to us when he said we did not? Oh, and by the way, those prisons are illegal. Thaks George, now because of you the best American can hope for is to be compaired to Uzbekistan.
So what is the Republican Congess going to do about it, not a damn thing, they are just as guilty.

I want to wish all of you a happy MA day. Today is the day that Bush wasted tax payer money, and good oil, to fly in on an aircraft carrier and tell us “Mission Accomplished”! We are now well over $100,000,000,000.00 later, and 2,200 additional lives the mission is still far from accomplished.
Wake up Americans, and see Bush for what he is, a liar.
I am fucking embarrassed that this man is the leader of the free world, and while being leader he has scaled back freedoms.
From CNN
The CNN poll, conducted April 21-23 by Opinion Research Corporation, found that only 9 percent thought the U.S. mission in Iraq had been accomplished, while another 40 percent believed it would be complete someday.
Another 44 percent said the United States would never accomplish its goals in Iraq, where American troops are still battling insurgents three years after the invasion that toppled former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Well tomorrow, Sunday’s 60 Minuets will tell us all that the CIA warned Bush that there was “reliable information the government of Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction” and when this information was given to the administration, the CIA was told they were “no longer interested”
At what point are we as a nation going to rise up and throw this crop of liars who have now killed 2,386 of our brave men and women, and wounded god know how many. Our President told us that Saddam must comply and that war was the “Final option”, that was a lie, Bush wanted to go to war no matter what.
From Yahoo News
The Central Intelligence Agency warned US President George W. Bush before the Iraq war that it had reliable information the government of Saddam Hussein had no weapons of mass destruction, a retired CIA operative disclosed.
But the operative, Tyler Drumheller, said top White House officials simply brushed off the warning, saying they were "no longer interested" in intelligence and that the policy toward Iraq had been already set.
The disclosure, made in an interview with CBS’s "60 Minutes" program due to be broadcast late Sunday, adds to earlier accusations that the Bush administration used intelligence selectively as it built its case for the March 2003 invasion of Iraq and the toppling of Saddam’s regime.
The administration claimed in the run-up to the war that Baghdad had extensive stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons and was working clandestinely to build a nuclear arsenal, therefore, presenting a threat to the world.
Oh, there is so much more, I would go and read this now. It is time to Impeach this fucker before he gets us into war with the world.

The man that was the mouth piece for this administration for quite some time is leaving. I suspect that give the amount of lies he has told the American people he will need the better part of 10 years to confess, and the next 20 to repent. There is also talk that Rove is also shifting his focus from policy (A job he sucked at I am guessing, because America is falling apart at the moment) and moving back to politics, looking for more ways to scare the shit out of Americans and get them to vote for the Republicans.
From the AP
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove is giving up his policy portfolio and press secretary Scott McClellan is resigning, continuing a shakeup in President Bush’s administration that has already yielded a new chief of staff.
A senior administration official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the president had not yet made the announcement, said Wednesday that Rove is giving up oversight of policy development to focus more on politics with the approach of the fall midterm elections.
Just over a year ago, Rove was promoted to deputy chief of staff in charge of most White House policy coordination. That new portfolio came on top of his title as senior adviser and role of chief policy aide to Bush.
But now, the job of deputy chief of staff for policy is being given to Joel Kaplan, now the White House’s deputy budget director, said the official.

How do you know that George Bush, and the Republicans that enable him are lying, their lips are moving. Remember those “biological laboratories” that Bush told us were going to get us, and the once honorable Colen Powel went to the UN and showed drawings of. Well then they were found, the Bush administration went ape-shit telling us about them. “We told ya! We found WMD’s”, well history has shown that there was not WMD, and guess what, they knew it.
From Reuters (bolds are mine)
The Bush administration publicly asserted that two trailers captured by U.S. troops in Iraq in May 2003 were mobile "biological laboratories" even after U.S. intelligence officials had evidence that it was not true, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday.
On May 29, 2003, President George W. Bush hailed the capture of the trailers, declaring "We have found the weapons of mass destruction."
But a Pentagon-sponsored fact-finding mission had already concluded that the trailers had nothing to do with biological weapons, the Post reported, citing government officials and weapons experts who participated in the secret mission or had direct knowledge of it.
The Post said the group’s unanimous findings had been sent to the Pentagon in a field report, two days before the president’s statement.
Bush cited the threat posed by weapons of mass destruction as the prime justification for invading Iraq. No such weapons ever were found.
A U.S. intelligence official, speaking to Reuters on condition of anonymity confirmed the existence of the field report but said it was a preliminary finding that had to be evaluated.
"You don’t change a report that has been coordinated in the (intelligence) community based on a field report," the official said. "It’s a preliminary report. No matter how strongly the individual may feel about the subject matter."
The three-page field report and a 122-page final report three weeks later were classified and shelved, The Washington Post reported. It added that for nearly a year after that, the Bush administration continued to public assert that the trailers were biological weapons factories.
This man can not tell the truth to save his life. So now the real question is, Why did we really go to war with Iraq?

This is funny as hell, we all know that most of the GOP is nothing but an bunch of liars, and here is more.
Howard Kaloogian, Republican shill out of CA wants to belive that this image is downtown Baghdad. Now we all know that the corrupt Republicans would love for you to think that everything is going great in Iraq, but the fact is that is not true. So the GOP is resorting to using images from somewhere else all together to make you think this is Baghdad. It is not, it is Istanbul, Turkey.
Just look around, every single sign is in ROMAN characters, Iraq used Arabic script, Turkey on the other hand, uses Roman (for my dumb GOP readers, English also used Roman Characters).
See the red sign 2.Noter, that is the sign for a "2nd Notary Public", this is how you see them in Turkey.
Take a look just below the Notary sign, “edo” is an Ice cream shop, and according to EDO’s Website… We found this blurb about them in the English Language Turkish Press
The taste for products of Turkish origin is becoming widespread around the world. The Inalbars family, who have been icecream makers for 155 years, are preparing to open shops selling Edo icecream in Israel, Egypt and Japan; the family already has 18 such branches in Turkey. Edo’s target for the year 2000 is to open 4 branches abroad
Now, lets move to the other side of the image, see the little brown van, with the brown man in brown shorts and an brown shirt, think brown, and wonder, Does UPS really drive around in Baghdad, I would say HELL NO!
Move to the right a little, and you will see a small yellow sign under the billboard, that sign says "carsi" (market or bazaar) and the blue one under it is "alis" (first part of the word "alisveris" = shopping, as in "alisveris merkezi" = "shopping center") are not EVER used in Arabic, why would you advert your shopping center in a text that is not red in Iraq? Lets look past the way the girl is dressed, and the Taxi is a tipical turkish cab.
In short, Howard Kaloogian is one of 2 things, dumb, or a liar. Even worst, he thinks you are dumb too.
So this leads to some questions,
Does Kaloogian even know where Iraq is, or is he such a shill that he will buy anything the GOP gives him?
Has he ever even been to Iraq, as he claims on his site? I am not so sure really.
Given that everything points to this image not being from Baghdad, do you want a person willing to (I will be nice) misrepresent the truth represent you in Congress?
For the Record, here is what he has as the caption of the image…
Downtown Baghdad
We took this photo of dowtown Baghdad while we were in Iraq. Iraq (including Baghdad) is much more calm and stable than what many people believe it to be. But, each day the news media finds any violence occurring in the country and screams and shouts about it - in part because many journalists are opposed to the U.S. effort to fight terrorism.
"We took this photo…" Liar Liar Liar

Bush, this afternoon:
First, just if I might correct a misperception, I don’t think we ever said – at least I know I didn’t say that there was a direct connection between September the 11th and Saddam Hussein.
In fact, Bush justified the war against Iraq by directly linking it to 9/11:
The use of armed forces against Iraq is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations or person who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001. Oh man, the Bush Administration can not get you to forget that it just plan does not care about black people, the south, the poor, in short Americans as a whole.
From Think Progress.
In today’s press briefing, a reporter challenges Bush’s assertion that there was no way to anticipate the levees breaching after Hurricane Katrina. McClellan’s response:
If you will recall, on August 29th, when the hurricane hit, and then it passed the New Orleans area, there were a number of reports, including media reports, saying that New Orleans had dodged the bullet, and there was some sense that the worst-case scenario did not happen. … We learned the next day — all of us learned — that, in fact, the levees had been breached and that there was a systemic failure in the levees. That was what was certain the next morning.
First, the media was not reporting that New Orleans had dodged a bullet. In fact, newspapers around the country were reporting on the “catastrophic” damage to the Gulf Coast.
Second, McClellan’s timeline is wrong. Katrina made landfall at 7 AM CDT on Aug. 29. As early as 7:30 AM CDT, the administration received word from New Orleans Homeland Security Director Col. Terry Ebbert that the levees in New Orleans had broken. By 11:13 AM CDT, the White House Homeland Security Council began circulating an internal memo called the “Katrina Spot Report,” reporting on the levee breach:
Flooding is significant throughout the region and a levee in New Orleans has reportedly been breached sending 6-8 feet of water throughout the 9th ward area of the city.
A total of 28 government agencies, including the White House, reported the levee breach on Aug. 29. Therefore, McClellan’s claim that the White House didn’t learn of the breach until Aug. 30 doesn’t hold water. Check out the right timeline here.
–End ThinkProgress Quote–
These people in the gulf coast died because Bush was on vacation, and that was far more important than ANY Americans. When do we start impeachment?
