North Carolina Baptists Join Ever Growing List of Hate Groups.

Writing by on Tuesday, 14 of November , 2006 at 6:49 pm

The North Carolina has just approved the strictest anti-gay rules, you are not welcome to the North Carolina Baptist Church if you are gay, know a gay, looked at a gay, watched a gay on TV, or know someone who knows someone who had a roommate in collage that became a gay.

Now they have entered the ranks of a hate group, and just as they treat all gays the same, I will do the same to Baptists. You all will go to hell for your hatred, and you have made god sick, because you have now barred entrance into the temple, and if I recall, this pissed the shit out of Jesus. For Shame! Go to Hell NC!

From NCB WBIR.com

The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted today to bar from membership any congregations that affirm or approve of homosexuality.

The move enacts one of the most rigid anti-gay policies among the nation's Christian churches.

The vote changes the convention's long-standing laws, which previously only had one simple requirement for membership: support the convention with both cooperation and financial contributions.

Now any churches that "knowingly act to affirm, approve, endorse, promote, support or bless homosexual behavior" can't belong to the group. A convention spokesman says 17 churches that belong to a group that welcomes gays as equal members will come under immediate scrutiny.

Anti-Gay Mega Church Leader Caght Screwing a Dude!

Writing by on Thursday, 2 of November , 2006 at 6:55 pm

You I think the reason why I hate Republicans so much is because all my life I have detested hypocrisy. I hate vegetarians that wear leather shoes, I hate Jews that love pulled pork sandwich, and Republicans that say they love the troops while voting to cut funding and lastly, fake Jesus loving asses that spew hate about gays or anything else, and come to find out they have been boning a male prostitute in the ass, hey where was Jeff Gannon in all this?

From the AP (bolds are mine!)

The leader of the influential National Association of Evangelicals, a vocal opponent of the drive for same-sex marriage, resigned Thursday after being accused of paying for sex with a man.

The Rev. Ted Haggard also stepped aside as head of his 14,000-member New Life Church while a church panel investigates, saying he could "not continue to minister under the cloud created by the accusations."

The investigation came after a 49-year-old man told a Denver radio station that Haggard paid him to have sex.

Haggard, a married father of five, denied the allegations in an interview with KUSA-TV late Wednesday: "Never had a gay relationship with anybody, and I’m steady with my wife, I’m faithful to my wife."

-snip-

Mike Jones, 49, told The Associated Press that Haggard paid him to have sex nearly every month for three years. His allegations were first aired on KHOW-AM in Denver.

Jones said that he had advertised himself as an escort on the Internet and that a man who called himself Art contacted him. Jones said he later saw the man on television identified as Haggard.

He said that he last had sex with Haggard in August and that he did not warn him before making his allegations this week.

Jones said he has voice mail messages from Haggard, as well as an envelope he said Haggard used to mail him cash, though he declined to make any of it available to the AP.

"There’s some stuff on there (the voice mails) that’s pretty damning," he said.

Now I read few years ago a really long article on this creep in Harper’s. It was down right nuts how overboard this was. His own sons’ wedding was used as a prop to show how great he was, and that marriage is for straights only. I recall the story ended with the couple leaving the church with fan fair, yet there was no reception, there was not even anyone waiting outside the church with rice, they just got on with the sermon on how mad gays where… The groom had locked his keys in his truck, and he and his new wife just sat there….

More Great Christians - 12 Year Old Kicked Out of Church.

Writing by on Saturday, 26 of August , 2006 at 11:06 pm

Because he is half-black. I guess according to this messed up group of "Christians" in the state of Mississippi…

From The Carpetbagger Report

First up from the God machine this week is a Baptist church that is filled with the Christian spirit — just as long as church officials approve of your racial background.

Fellowship Baptist Church in Saltillo, Mississippi, voted out a 12-year-old boy who "asked Jesus to live in his heart" at the church two weeks ago. Why the ban? Joe is biracial, and church members didn’t want the black side of his family attending with him.

They were "afraid Joe might come with his people and have blacks in the church," church pastor John Stevens told the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal.

To his credit, Pastor Stevens resigned from the church the same day 12-year-old Joe was voted out of the church. Cliff Hardy, a local police officer, also resigned from the church. "My best friend is a black man," he said. "I wouldn’t be comfortable going to a place where I couldn’t ask my best friend to go to church with me."

The local paper contacted church members, but they refused comment. Go figure.

He has some other great things in his "This Week in God" post.

Right-Wing Nut Randall Terry Is a Family Man, Just Not His Family

Writing by on Wednesday, 23 of August , 2006 at 2:25 pm

This is just sad, uber-right-wing nut Randall Terry wants you to think he is all about family-values, just please ignore his gay son.

From Yahoo News.

Randall Terry, a right-wing Christian leader, doesn’t run away from "family-values issues" in his Florida state Senate race, but his gay son, Jamiel, says things are not what they seem.

Among the senior Terry’s pledges are preserving traditional marriage and opposing adoptions by gay men and lesbians. He has touted efforts to stop abortions. His campaign mailers sum up the value he puts on family: They show a picture of him with his wife, a daughter, and three grinning young sons — taken before a fourth was born this summer.

But Jamiel, Terry’s adopted son, says the picture is missing two people — him and his sister, Tila, also adopted. Both have been estranged from Terry since Jamiel came out as a gay man and Tila had a child out of wedlock.

Odd, I thought that gay children only came from gay parents, or is Randall not telling us the whole story. It also calls into question the right-wing family-values agenda as a whole, if wing-nut Randall Terry can’t make sure his son is not gay and his other child is not a getting knocked-up then it is safe to say the whole agenda is tripe.

After 54 Years - Sunday School Teacher Fired for Being Female

Writing by on Tuesday, 22 of August , 2006 at 9:30 am

Wow, these people are so dumb. I am starting to think that the Death Cult called Christianity has had a good run, but it is time to go… Fired by the church because she is a gal, after 54 years at the same church. Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.

From AP

WATERTOWN, N.Y. (AP) - The minister of a church that dismissed a female Sunday School teacher after adopting what it called a literal interpretation of the Bible says a woman can perform any job - outside of the church.

The First Baptist Church dismissed Mary Lambert on Aug. 9 with a letter explaining that the church had adopted an interpretation that prohibits women from teaching men. She had taught there for 54 years.

The letter quoted the first epistle to Timothy: "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent."

The Rev. Timothy LaBouf, who also serves on the Watertown City Council, issued a statement saying his stance against women teaching men in Sunday school would not affect his decisions as a city leader in Watertown, where all five members of the council are men but the city manager who runs the city’s day-to-day operations is a woman.

"I believe that a woman can perform any job and fulfill any responsibility that she desires to" outside of the church, LaBouf wrote Saturday.

Mayor Jeffrey Graham, however, was bothered by the reasons given Lambert’s dismissal.

"If what’s said in that letter reflects the councilman’s views, those are disturbing remarks in this day and age," Graham said. "Maybe they wouldn’t have been disturbing 500 years ago, but they are now."

Lambert has publicly criticized the decision, but the church did not publicly address the matter until Saturday, a day after its board met.

In a statement, the board said other issues were behind Lambert’s dismissal, but it did not say what they were.

Poll Finds Christians Addicted to Porn

Writing by on Monday, 14 of August , 2006 at 12:04 pm

This story is not really political, I just think it is damn funny. The holier than thou wing-nut evangelicals are addicted to pornography. It is called Hypocrite… I can just see some nut going from the rapture site to the girls that do it with dogs site (I think that is what Rick Santorum likes), then they go post about how they are going to heaven and all gays are evil, then off to the homo room on AOL instant message.

RawStory has the Raw Story

"The poll results indicate that 50% of all Christian men and 20% of all Christian women are addicted to pornography," said Clay Jones, founder and President of Second Glance Ministries.

The group defines "addicted" as applied to pornography as use on an ongoing basis.

"We are seeing an escalation to the problem in both men and women who regularly attend church," said Bill Cooper, President of ChristiaNet.com.

The poll, conducted at ChristiaNet.com, used a self-selected sample, and is therefore not a scientific study. Over 1,000 users responded to the survey.

Additionally, 60% of the women who answered the survey confessed having "significant struggles with lust." 40% admitted to being "involved in sexual sin" in the past year.

Wow, and I thought I was the pervert.

Christian Hate Group Wants to Control West Points Teachings

Writing by on Friday, 11 of August , 2006 at 9:41 am

Right-Wing whack jobs now want to stick their noses into that the US Army’s West Point does. Some history, a recently graduated senior, now Second Lieutenant Alexander Raggio wrote as his thesis that the militaries “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy is accuracy hurting the US Military, it’s ability to recruit and retain fine solders and more. He received an award for the paper by the West Point English Department. You can read the whole story about the paper here…

The Right-Wing Hate Mongers have latched all over this as a new way to display their hate of their fellow man by demanding the papers award be removed, and that West Point Stop being a place of Higher Learning, but a place to spread the right-wing, un-Christian, fake-morals, agenda.

From the very Right-Wing Hate Spreading agapepress.org

This incident has led Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, to wonder what officials at the Academy were thinking. "I do intend to bring this to the attention of some of the people in the leadership roles at West Point," she says. "I think it ought to be questioned."

Donnelly says this is the first she has heard of Raggio’s commendation from the English department, but news of the faculty’s conferral of honor on a graduating cadet for his pro-homosexual thesis has given rise to some grave concerns. "Certainly," she asserts, "it does call into question the judgment of those who gave this award.”

Despite Raggio’s personal beliefs, the Center’s spokeswoman points out, the young officer is obligated to enforce U.S. military policy. "Congress says homosexuality is incompatible with military service — that is the law," she notes. "So if, as an officer in the Army, this particular person was aware of homosexuality that was occurring within the unit that he commanded, he would be obligated to dismiss that person.”

Apparently, Donnelly says, when Raggio wrote his thesis, he was saying the ban on homosexuals serving in the military should be lifted. "That is a very unusual view," she asserts, "and he is certainly entitled to his opinion." However, the military readiness expert observes, studies have clearly shown that homosexuality and military service are not a good mix.

Raggio is entitled to his First Amendment rights of free speech and expression, Donnelly says. "However," she adds, "I question the judgment of the leadership at West Point, who would recognize such an essay and give it an award that can be used for a purpose contrary to military policy.”

Mega-Church Minister Arrested For Asking Boy for Sex, Again!

Writing by on Wednesday, 2 of August , 2006 at 11:42 am

Once again those that make money hating gays, condemning liberals and all in all misrepresenting the teachings of Jesus in every way humanly possible are exposed as mega-hypocrites. Jerry Dale Carver, minister for Austin’s Great Hills Baptist Church was arrested for tiring to get a boy to have sex with him. Now oddly, this is not the first time this pervert has been arrested for this. In 1999 he was arrested for picking up a 14 year old boy in church and having sex with him. Praise Jesus! This man is part of a 5000 member mega-church, and like the rest of the right-wing nutbags, a total hypocrite. All you right-wing scum-bags will find a special place in hell…

Right-Wing Kansas School Board Sent Home After Election.

Writing by on Wednesday, 2 of August , 2006 at 8:40 am

This could be seen as a clear sign that the average American is feed up with the uber-right-wing-fake-words-from-Jesus-freaks that want to move this nation to a place where women were property and a waste of education. Have all been sent packing in the backwards State of Kansas.

From MSNBC

TOPEKA, Kan. - Conservative Republicans who approved classroom standards that called evolution into question lost control of the state Board of Education in Tuesday’s primary election.

Five of the 10 seats on the board were up for election in the primary, the latest skirmish in a seesawing battle between faith and science that has opened Kansas up to international ridicule.

Last November, the Board of Education’s 6-to-4 conservative Republican majority rewrote testing standards for public schools to incorporate language supported by advocates of intelligent design, which holds that life is so complex it must have been created by some kind of higher power. The new standards say that some aspects of evolution are contradicted by scientific evidence.
On Tuesday, three members of the majority faced GOP primary foes who support evolution. A fourth Republican conservative is retiring, and her seat was up for grabs.

Writing by on Wednesday, 12 of July , 2006 at 2:14 pm

Now I am a big fan of the Onion, it is a great journal of satire, an art that has all but vanished from the literary landscape.

Well this Bush supporter, Pete, has posted on his pro-life blog a scathing rebuttal to the Onions piece, “I’m Totally Psyched About This Abortion!”. Now to be honest I would not post here directing you to this misguided moron, but this is just to funny. He thinks this is a real story, not the satire the Onion is known for.

What’s more is his guys total off the wall unmitigated support of the moron in chief. You have to take a moment and read the comments, this is one of my favorites.

I Wish Them Luck, Hurry and Leave.

Writing by on Wednesday, 28 of June , 2006 at 4:44 pm

For the love of god, please hurry and get this damn thing over with. The world would be a far better place without all these damn morons.

From the Los Angeles Times

For thousands of years, prophets have predicted the end of the world. Today, various religious groups, using the latest technology, are trying to hasten it.

Their end game is to speed the promised arrival of a messiah.

For some Christians, this means laying the groundwork for Armageddon.

With that goal in mind, mega-church pastors recently met in Inglewood, Calif., to polish strategies for using global communications and aircraft to transport missionaries to fulfill the Great Commission — to make every person on Earth aware of Jesus’ message.

Doing so, they believe, will bring about the end, perhaps within two decades.

These are the people that this administration thinks is right. Now I am not attacking all Christians, I just think that this group of them are as evil as the Islam that Osama subscribes too. I with them luck, I will not miss them.

FACT: America NOT Founded as a Christian Nation

Writing by on Monday, 12 of June , 2006 at 4:21 pm

The Constitution never once mentions a deity, because the Founding Fathers wanted to keep their new country "religion-neutral." Our Founding Fathers were an eclectic collection of Atheists, Deists, Christians, Freemasons and Agnostics.

George Washington, the Father of our country, and John Adams, who later became the second President of the United States,  stated in the 1796 Treaty of Tripoli

Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

This is the words of our founding fathers, the very same that the right-wing would have you think were as nuts about Jesus as they were. This was far from the facts. George Washington, the father of our nation was not a big church fan, he was far more evolved in Deist, that was popular at the time.  From adherents.com     "Although he was an Anglican and an Episcopalian, Washington reportedly did not take communion and was not considered an official "communicant" (full-fledged adult church member)."

James Madison, one of the framers of our fair Constitution, was a stone cold Atheist, he openly wrote in 1785, "Religious shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise." he also wrote, "During almost fifteen centuries has the legal establishment of Christianity been on trial. What have been its fruits? More or less in all places, pride and indolence in the Clergy, ignorance and servility in the laity; in both, superstition, bigotry and persecution.". Clearly, James Madison was not a big fan of Christianity.

Thomas Jefferson, the guy that penned the Declaration of Independence by himself. He wrote in a letter to General Alexander Smyth, Jan. 17, 1825, "It is between fifty and sixty years since I read it [the Apocalypse], and I then considered it merely the ravings of a maniac, no more worthy nor capable of explanation than the incoherences of our own nightly dreams."  He said in a letter to John Adams (Another Founding Father), "The whole history of these books [the Gospels] is so defective and doubtful that it seems vain to attempt minute enquiry into it: and such tricks have been played with their text, and with the texts of other books relating to them, that we have a right, from that cause, to entertain much doubt what parts of them are genuine. In the New Testament there is internal evidence that parts of it have proceeded from an extraordinary man; and that other parts are of the fabric of very inferior minds. It is as easy to separate those parts, as to pick out diamonds from dunghills." He said to a letter to a Dr. Thomas Cooper, in 1814, "Christianity neither is, nor ever was a part of the common law."

I could go on, a simple few Google searches and some reading will clearly show you, and those that want to shovel the tripe that the USA was a Christian nation, that we are not, our Founding Fathers were a mix of many faiths, or none at all.

Texas GOP Declares “America is a Christian nation”

Writing by on Monday, 5 of June , 2006 at 11:00 am

I am so sad that I am from the state of Texas.

From the Dallas Morning News… (Bolds are mine)

Lt. Col. Brian Birdwell offered a greeting to delegates to the Republican convention. "It’s great to be back in the holy land," the Fort Worth native said to the cheers of the party faithful. For the 4,500 delegates at last week’s biennial gathering, it was both an expression of conservative philosophy and religious faith, a melding of church and state.

At Saturday morning’s prayer meeting, party leader Tina Benkiser assured them that God was watching over the two-day confab.

"He is the chairman of this party," she said against a backdrop of flags and a GOP seal with its red, white and blue logo.

The party platform, adopted Saturday, declares "America is a Christian nation" and affirms that "God is undeniable in our history and is vital to our freedom."

"We pledge to exert our influence toward a return to the original intent of the First Amendment and dispel the myth of the separation of church and state," it says.

Just off the convention floor, among the warren of booths selling buttons and T-shirts denouncing Democrats, the table for WallBuilders – founded by outgoing party vice chairman David Barton – was piled high with books and DVDs extolling religion in government. The Keys to Good Government was one DVD. America’s Godly Heritage was another.
