Well the GOP has resorted to using illeagal phone calls. Here is what they do, and it is truly low, they fake calls as Democrats, and tell them to vote for so-and-so, but they call the same people over and over like 50 times! The hope is to make the voter so mad at the Democrat that they do not go and vote.
It is really low, and sad… the cowards will do anything to stay in power…

You remember Osama bib Laden, he was the master mind behind this event that we collectively refer to as 9/11. Maybe you have heard our “President”, and his Republican backers, spew it out of his mouth a few thousand times. At some point we were “going to get those that brought down these towers” but our “leader” did not. He let the man that created one of the most tragic days in recent American history to get away, because capturing Osama bin Laden was not really the goal, going to war in Iraq, that was what George really wanted.
Well the Washington Post has written an article that is clear, going to war in Iraq has cost us the capture of bin Laden.
On the videotape obtained by the CIA, bin Laden is seen confidently instructing his party how to dig holes in the ground to lie in undetected at night. A bomb dropped by a U.S. aircraft can be seen exploding in the distance. "We were there last night," bin Laden says without much concern in his voice. He was in or headed toward Pakistan, counterterrorism officials think.
That was December 2001. Only two months later, Bush decided to pull out most of the special operations troops and their CIA counterparts in the paramilitary division that were leading the hunt for bin Laden in Afghanistan to prepare for war in Iraq, said Flynt L. Leverett, then an expert on the Middle East at the National Security Council.
"I was appalled when I learned about it," said Leverett, who has become an outspoken critic of the administration’s counterterrorism policy. "I don’t know of anyone who thought it was a good idea. It’s very likely that bin Laden would be dead or in American custody if we hadn’t done that."
Several officers confirmed that the number of special operations troops was reduced in March 2001.

To be honest I think that the current pack of Republicans are SO corrupt that they make anything the Democrats ever did in all of history look like nothing more than child’s play. In this case the son of the now famous internet specialist Ted Stephens, Corrupt Republican from Alaska, has some explaining to do, like, why did the FBI raid your office, what were they looking for, and just for fun, why does the GOP loath the American people?
Federal agents swarmed legislative offices around the state Thursday, executing search warrants in a coordinated series of raids that appeared to target the longstanding relationship between the oil-field service company Veco and leading lawmakers.
Above Anchorage’s 4th Avenue, FBI agents spent most of the afternoon behind the closed doors and drawn blinds of the fifth-floor offices of Senate President Ben Stevens and Senate Rules Committee Chairman John Cowdery, both Anchorage Republicans. Through slits in the blinds, one agent in Stevens’ office, wearing rubber gloves, could be seen packing away evidence in a container.
Republicans have lost their way when it comes to many core GOP principles and may be in jeopardy heading into the fall elections, Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb. says. Hagel, a possible presidential candidate in 2008, said Sunday that the GOP today is very different party from the one when he first voted Republican.
"First time I voted was in 1968 on top of a tank in the Mekong Delta," said Hagel, a Vietnam veteran. "I voted a straight Republican ticket. The reason I did is because I believe in the Republican philosophy of governance. It’s not what it used to be. I don’t think it’s the same today."
Hagel asked: "Where is the fiscal responsibility of the party I joined in ‘68? Where is the international engagement of the party I joined - fair, free trade, individual responsibility, not building a bigger government, but building a smaller government?"

It is now standard procedure now for a politician to send a staffer to the rallies of the opponent and video tape it. Well in the Old Dominion (That is Virginia for the rest of you) the current Republican Senator, George Allen has sent the message to the almost all white audience, “I am your Senator and I will maintain the racist past we in Virginia are known for”
He pointed out during a rally the staffer from the Webb campaign, a gentleman is of Indian decent, and said the following;
"Lets give a welcome to Macaque, here. Welcome to America and the real world of Virginia," said Allen, who then began talking about the "war on terror."
Now what is odd is, unlike George Allen, who was born in the liberal state of California, this Webb staffer, S.R. Sidarth, a senior at the University of Virginia, was born in Virginia, Fairfax VA to be exact. . You may also ask, what the hell does Macaque mean? Well you have to be a real dye in the wool racist to know this one… Macaque is a French term that means a Negro (originally) or a person of North-African origin (more recently); derived from macaque monkeys. This was not a slip of the tongue, this is a message to his fellow White Republican racist that he is a racist on a global scale, he knows how to point out a racial slurs in 22 different languages.
He’s lying. And anyone who speaks French knows what a Macaque is. "Macaque" is French for monkey. And George Allen speaks French.
Here is a quote from the president of the University of Virginia, Patricia Cormier at UVA’s commencement exercises in Spring 2005 introducing Senator George Allen:
"A little known fact about Senator Allen is that his undergraduate education was enhanced substantially by his excellent performance in French class, taught by none other than Dr. Raymond Cormier, visiting professor of French at Longwood, and my husband! I have up here on the podium the gradebook, and he got a very good grade. No wonder the senator can applaud his superior education."

Well this morning Joe Lieberman filed a giant “Screw You” to the Democratic Party and the people of Connecticut. They spoke, and Joe did not listen, nothing has changed.
Well he has filed as an independent today, working to make sure that the splits the Democratic vote, and really helps the Republican party, again, nothing changed.
"I feel we began to get our message across strongly and we’re going to keep on going," Lieberman told The Associated Press on Wednesday. "This race is going to be all about who can get more done and who can be a better representative of Connecticut." Joe, you are wrong, you have been a horrid representative for the state of Connecticut, your fair state is second to last in the amount of money that is returned to the state. Only the state of New Jersey gets more screwed out of it’s tax money more. Joe be careful running on your record, it is very PRO-JOE, and a little weak on pro-Connecticut. All and all, you have failed the people of Connecticut.
I hope the party hands you your ass, you are a cry baby, it is all about you, and you do not care about the Democrats, the people of Connecticut, and you have pissed on the process that has made this America great. I hope they strip you of your power and relegate you to the slums of the Senate until you are unseated in November.
A secret memo by the coal industry details a coordinated campaign to spread misinformation about global warming. The memo expresses fear that if the government addresses climate change — through a carbon tax or regulating greenhouse gasses — it will cut into their profits.
But the coal-based utility leading the campaign ran up against a problem: there is no scientific community who agrees with them. The memo acknowledges almost everyone who disputes global warming science have no “involvement in climatology.” So they’ve decided to lavish funding on one climatologist who will do their bidding: Pat Michaels.
The memo describes how the coal-based utility contributed “$100,000 to Dr. Michaels this year.” It also “contacted all the [utilities] in the United States” asking for contributions to Michaels’ research and “obtained additional contributions.” Here are a few highlights from Michaels’ career:
Funding Michaels is part of a larger propaganda campaign, involving several industries, described in the memo. Other activities include bankrolling a movie that attacks An Inconvenient Truth, deceptive advertisements by the Competitive Enterprise Institute and aggressive lobbying. Corporations meet regularly with Michaels and CEI to discuss strategy.

John Bolton, the un-confirmed US Ambassador to the United Nations, office threatened the website ThinkProgress if they published the fact that John Bolton was to busy giving speeches at foreign right-wing think-tanks than to do his job at the UN and go an a trip to look at the genocide going on in the country of Sudan. When they called to confirm this fact the office of John Bolton“Grenell also told us if we publicized the fact that Bolton had not attended UNSC trips “we’ll just blast you out of the water.””
This is the “man” Bush wants as our top Ambassador (Bush had to recess appoint him last tim), the man that had a decision to make, Right-wing think-tank, or mass slaughter of human beings, Bolton choose to turn his back on the human beings (Much like the rest of the Bush Administration). Now I am sure it would have been different if the people being slaughtered were white, but they were not, because as you know, the Bush administration hates brown people, all brown people.

Well this fall out in the Middle East is going just like the neo-cons want. What we are seeing is a plan called “Clean Break”, Randi Rhodes read this on the air. The Bush/Cheney people will not be happy until the have totally fucked us, they want the war they were promised with the USSR, and they will be damned if the whole collapse of Communism is going to stop them. Damn the neo-cons have nukes, and want to use them.
I beg of you my readers to take the 14 mins (22 mins for the slower readers) to read all of this. Know thy enemy.
Turn the clock back seven years. On July 8, 1996, Richard Perle, currently a member, and formerly the head of the Defense Policy Board in the Don Rumsfeld Pentagon, delivered a document to the new Israeli Prime Minister, Jabotinskyite Benjamin Netanyahu. Perle, and a team of American neo-cons, had been tasked by Netanyahu—through the Israeli think tank, the Institute for Advanced Strategic and Political Studies (IASPS)—to draft a strategy for abrogating the Oslo Accords and overturning the entire concept of "comprehensive land for peace," in favor of a jackboot policy of U.S.-Israeli-Turkish raw military conquest and occupation.
The short policy memo, which Netanyahu, and his successor-Likud Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, totally adopted as the core strategy of their administrations, spelled out a four-pronged attack on the peace process and the entire Arab world. It has become a self-evident truth that, since the Bush "43" and Sharon governments came into power simultaneously in early 2001, "A Clean Break" has been the guiding strategic doctrine of both—particularly following the irregular warfare attacks on New York and Washington on Sept. 11, 2001.
The Perle-Wurmser policy document demanded: 1) Destroy Yasser Arafat and the Palestinian Authority, blaming them for every act of Palestinian terrorism, including the attacks from Hamas, an organization which Sharon had helped launch during his early 1980s tenure as Minister of Defense. 2) Induce the United States to overthrow the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq. 3) Launch war against Syria after Saddam’s regime is disposed of, including striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and targets in Syria proper. 4) Parlay the overthrow of the Ba’athist regimes in Baghdad and Damascus into the "democratization" of the entire Arab world, including through further military actions against Iran, Saudi Arabia, and "the ultimate prize," Egypt (see Documentation following for the "Clean Break" report).
Later in Fed 25, 2005, following the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri the EIR wrote
The document flatly stated that Israel should engage "Hisbollah, Syria, and Iran, as the principal agents of aggression in Lebanon, including by … establishing the precedent that Syrian territory is not immune to attacks emanating from Lebanon by Israeli proxy forces [and] striking Syrian military targets in Lebanon, and should that prove insufficient, striking at select targets in Syria proper." Furthermore, it said, Israel should divert "Syria’s attention by using Lebanese opposition elements to destabilize Syrian control of Lebanon." The paper also called for focussing on "removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq…."
The outcome of the regional convulsions provoked by the "Clean Break" doctrine, was to be a new Middle East, with Israel hegemonic in the region, presiding over a series of newly balkanized states, run by puppet regimes. The Bush Administration has recently restated its intention to pick off these governments, dubbed "outposts of tyranny," one by one. The order in which they were to be hit was assumed to start with Iran. Instead, Syria was moved into first place.

“Less than two months after voting overwhelmingly to build 370 miles of new fencing along the border with Mexico, the Senate yesterday voted against providing funds to build it.”

I hope he gets his ass handed to him by Ned Lamont. We all know that he has shown his true colors and said, "If you don’t give me my nomination, I am going to piss on the Democrats anyway."
It is time for Democrats who distrust President Bush to acknowledge that he will be Commander-in-Chief for three more critical years, and that in matters of war, we undermine Presidential credibility at our nation’s peril.
Hey Joe, why don’t you go and screw yourself! I do not trust Bush as far as I can toss him. He is a liar, a cheat and death-dealer. He has killed countless in the name of this once great nation, he has made us more feared and more hated than the south side of hell. Joe, you want to lie with dogs do not get pissed when you get fleas. I hope you are sent home this fall, a clear message by the voters of your state that you are a fake, a self-centered ass that has chosen yourself over America, the Democrats, your people, and the people of Connecticut.
News flash Joe, you are now in bed with those that see you as one of the "issues".
You may say why the hell would the Republicans care, they have been the ones that have been begging for the destruction of the Constitution, simple ABC has reported that Dennis Hastert, Republican speaker of the house is under investigation by, guess who, the FBI. We can only assume that this new found Constitutional fortitude is due to the fact that Dennis is using his office to hide his papers from the FBI.
ABC News has learned that the Speaker of the House, Illinois Republican Dennis Hastert, is being investigated by the FBI, which wants to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe that is swirling around Congress.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, is under investigation by the FBI, which is seeking to determine his role in an ongoing public corruption probe into members of Congress, ABC News has learned from high level official sources.
Federal officials say the information implicating Hastert was developed from convicted lobbyists who are now cooperating with the government.
Part of the investigation involves a letter Hastert wrote three years ago, urging the Secretary of the Interior to block a casino on an Indian reservation that would have competed with other tribes.
The other tribes were represented by convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff who reportedly has provided details of his dealings with Hastert as part of his plea agreement with the government.
The letter was written shortly after a fund-raiser for Hastert at a restaurant owned by Abramoff. Abramoff and his clients contributed more than $26,000 at the time.
Two key Democrats on the House committee that oversees the Department of Homeland Security criticized the agency last week for not releasing to Congress reports on 118 security plans for mass transit, rail, aviation, ports and borders.
Many of the reports were due in 2003.
"The American people deserve more from the Department of Homeland Security than missed deadlines, especially when our nation’s security is at risk," said a letter signed by Rep. Bennie Thompson (Miss.), the ranking Democrat on the Committee on Homeland Security, and Rep. Kendrick Meek (Fla.) ranking Democrat of its subcommittee on management, integration and oversight.
–snip–
One late report, according to Thompson and Meek, assesses the impact on travelers’ privacy and civil liberties from the Transportation Security Administration’s proposed Secure Flight program, which would pre-screen passengers by computer. That report was due March 13, 2004. Another late report focuses on threats from international air cargo; it was due June 15, 2005. Congress also wanted an update on the criteria to be used to consolidate names on the terrorist watch list; that report was due in June 2005.
"Given the below-average performance of the department on so many fronts including emergency preparedness during the past year, adequate assessments of the department’s capabilities and plans are not only needed but critical to our nation’s security," the letter said.
