“I don’t believe my role is to replace the verdict of a jury”

“I don’t believe my role is to replace the verdict of a jury with my own, unless there are new facts or evidence of which a jury was unaware, or evidence that the trial was somehow unfair.”

George W. Bush, writing in his autobiography, A Charge to Keep.

This is in responce to why he never stepped in and stopped the death of 157 people put to death then he was in charge of . Now, a rich white boy who helped him cover up an act of treason, justice was somehow denied here. America was once a guiding light for all others to follow, now we are a banana republic at best.

Bush Commuted Libby’s Sentance, Thumbs Nose at Rule of Law

Writing by Marq on Monday, 2 of July , 2007 at 7:36 pm

Today George Bush said that the rule of law means nothing to him.  In what can only be described as obstruction of justice by a sitting president, George the sentence of Scooter Libby.  This is actually worse than pardoning him, because it leaves the White House with its very well-worn canned response to any question about Scooter , “the White House will not comment on any ongoing investigations for court trials.”   It also leaves alive ’s ability to plead the fifth is brought before Congress, because technically while the president has made it so that he does not have to serve jail time, he is still guilty of a crime, that he can still appeal.

The irony here is that while Bush was governor state of over 157 people asked for the same privilege he granted scooter today, they’re all dead.  What’s more, George Bush commuted the sentence in order to ensure that Scooter does not have to ever reveal the criminal acts that all fingers are pointing to in the White House.

It is a sad day here in America, unfortunately one of countless sad days we’ve had the Bush administration has occupied the White House.

What Happenens When You Let the Right-Wing Run Things

Writing by Marq on Sunday, 4 of February , 2007 at 10:13 pm

Now I am from Texas, and it is sad to see what the Right wing has done to this once great state. Now this is what America will look like if we allow the uber-right to keep going. They hate people, period. Read for yourself.

  • 49th in per capita tax revenue raised;
  • 50th in per capita state spending;
  • 47th in average SAT scores;
  • 50th in percentage of population over 25 with high school diploma;
  • 1st in percentage of uninsured children;
  • 1st in percentage of population without health insurance;
  • 49th in percentage of women who vote;
  • 1st in air pollution emissions;
  • 1st in toxic chemicals released into water;
  • 1st in cancer-causing carcinogens released into air;
  • 44th in home ownership rate;
  • 50th in electric bill affordability;
  • 1st in number of executions;
  • 1st in number of gun shows.

This is what you get when you allow a right-wing closeted fag sells the state to the Christian nutbags, after taking the state over from a coked up moron, he is not “president”.
